The Aftermath

Chapter Five

I walked into school the next morning to see Josh stood at my locker on his phone, he looked up at me as I approached, I had anticipated I would be greeted with his usual smile but instead I was met with a look one could only describe as a glare full of disgust
"Alright, what is going on and why do you look like you want to murder me?" I asked opening my locker
"Where were you last night?" he asked and I looked at him with a raised brow
"I could ask you the same thing" I said crossing my arms

"I'm not fucking playing Bryony" He said slamming his hands on the locker next to me
"Woah dude chill" A guy said as he passed us
"You were with him weren't you!" He growled, I narrowed my eyes at him
"And you were?" I asked 
"This isn't fucking about me" He said as I noticed the rest of the gang walking down the corridor
"I think you'll find it is!" I said making his eyes darken looking at me

"I wouldn't have ended up in the park with Hayden if you hadn't done yet another 360, if you hadn't gone from worrying about us changing to hanging with the people you always told me you despised" I said making Josh laugh gripping the locker now

At this point, the gang were at Hayden's locker just across from us most likely listening in
"I told you this would happen. When are you going to listen when I tell you that you can't be friends with an Ex" He yelled if the gang weren't listening then they certainly were now 

"When were you going to listen I don't let anyone tell me what I can and can't do" I said making him laugh psychotically again 
"so what? You're just gonna cheat? is that what this is?" He asked 
"When was cheating ever fucking mentioned?" I asked
"Well what else could you two have been doing?" He questioned making me roll my eyes
"you know Josh. Not everyone thinks with their dick." I said making him scoff

"You wouldn't know about that would you. Since you've never been interested in that way" he spat 
"Can you blame me? you're a fucking child" I said 
"you don't know who your talking to" He growled

I slammed my locker shut looking at him shaking my head
"your right. See here I was thinking that I was going to have this nice conversation with my boyfriend seeing as he left me at school yesterday it would have been nice to see him" I said 
"but instead, I'm met with the same shit a different day" I continued
"So you know what?" I asked making him narrow his eyes

"What's that" He asked making me laugh

"Until you can learn to fucking grow up. Consider yourself a single little boy!" I said attempting to walk towards the gang

"Yeah go on, run off to your Ex" He yelled after me making me turn around after closing my eyes
"Why don't you go do the same. Do you not think I've noticed Becky, Sammie and Dana in your messages?" I asked with a smirk on my face

"The big difference between us Josh is that I have a fucking set of morals. I would never cheat but you?" I asked
"I wouldn't put it past you" I said turning again 

"You'll come running back Bryony and I won't be here waiting" He said making me laugh. I looked at Hayden who offered me an apologetic look so I smiled at him before turning back to Josh
"Good because I won't be coming back running. In fact why don't you just go back to where you came from" I laughed finally being able to walk away

The moment I got over to the gang, Allie engulfed me into a hug as tight as the day I saw her again
"It's gonna be okay" She cooed stroking my hair
"A, it's alright" I said pulling away

"A good friend gave me some decent advice last night" I smiled in Hayden's direction
