Chapter Twelve

"Bry, what is going on" Allie asked, we were all over mine but I pulled Allie away, I needed to talk to someone about what went down today but I don't want it to cause problems
"We have someone causing problems" I said making her look at me confused
"What do you mean?" she asked as we took a seat on the bed 

"What I mean is that Josh knew word for word what I said about him the other night" I said making Allie's eyes widen
"Who's the fucking snake!" She screeched 
"A, do you not think if I knew that. I would have already been doing something about it" I laughed making her slump a little deeper

"This is the last thing we all need" She said making me nod
Hayden and I were on early days, Cass and Nathan are still in their honeymoon phase too
"Who could it have been" I asked and Allie then sighed 

Confirming she knew more then she was letting on

"I think it was Lucie" She whispered before looking at me
"No actually, I know it was Lucie" She said making me look at her even more concerned
"How?" I asked

Allie sighed looking at me offering me a sympathetic smile before nodding
"when we all met Cass, Lucie was hanging around like a lost puppy and soon developed like an attachment to Hayden. It was so strange" She said
"I mean can you blame her, she was hanging around with two couples?" i said making Allie nod

"Well as time went on, Hayden, the boys and I would always speak of you so she used to get uncomfortable and make up some excuse to change subject or would just leave" She said
"I guess she still isn't over it?" Allie asked making me look at her a little concerned before there was a light knock at the door 

We both turned our head to see Jason and Hayden poking their head in like children
"What's with the mothers meeting" Jason teased
"We were just talking that's all" Allie said avoiding the situation at hand
"We'll be leaving, see you in a bit" Allie said nodding at me taking Jason's hand guiding him out of the room, leaving me with a confused Hayden

He chuckled looking at me raising a brow
"is this the point I get told what is going on?" He asked sitting next to me, I sighed nodding. Communication is key right?

"What happened with Lucie and you over Summer?" I asked making Hayden look  at me confused
"Nothing? Why?" He asked
"so no obsession? no feelings?" I asked but Hayden shrugged this time
"Lucie developed a thing but I shut it down and told her where I stood" He said making me bite the inside of my cheeks

"What is going on Bry? You don't do that over nothing" He said taking my hands in his
"I think, Lucie is trying to cause some sort of trouble" I explained making Hayden look at me confused

"What do you mean?" He asked
"i mean that Josh approached me today and somehow knew word for word what I said the other night. The only people out there were the girls and I. It wasn't Allie, what reason would Cassidy have? Which leaves.." I said trailing off towards the end

"What do you think she wants?" Hayden asked making me scoff
"Are you that dumb Hay" I laughed
"She wants you" I said making him chuckle
"I mean what do you think her plan is" He said making me shrug

Usually by now, I would have been able to figure out the plan, the main goal, the possible outcomes but right now? I was blindsided

"I haven't got a clue" I whispered making Hayden smile putting an arm around me
"Whatever it is, it won't matter" he said making me smiled at him slightly 

"We've got this Bry and I swear I'm not going to let her try anything okay?" He offered
"So no Maddy repeat?" I asked with a smirk making Hayden roll his eyes

"no Maddy repeat" He smiled pressing his lips against mine softly
