moon aeri thought that fear would consume her when the truth has been revealed, but nothing. she felt nothing but calmness— even though, the expressions each of her classmates wore were far too ridiculous for her to bear. it was funny, really.

❝so you guys knew all this time..❞

jang wujin muttered to himself, but it was enough for the four to hear. choi mihee calmly nodded with a faint smile, oddly enough. ❝indeed.❞

❝but why didn't you tell any of us—❞

that seems to be enough to shut oh joon young. jung chaewon released an exasperated sigh and rolled her eyes, answering to their thoughts loudly. ❝if you want us to go since we betrayed your trust, then say it out loud—❞

aeri brought her hand up and blocked the jung's path, smiling faintly as she watched her companions take in the new information. ❝as though it seems, project andromeda never intended to harm people's lives—❞

❝but that damned project already let hyosan become hell! probably half of the population of hyosan is dead already..❞

mihee glanced at the girl named jimin and glared, ready to defend her leader. ❝aeri was—❞

❝there's no point in defending me, choi. i see no point in getting so work up on all of these.❞

mihee rolled her eyes and stepped forward, voice unusually colder. ❝and i see no point in staying here as well, let's go.❞ the moon child didn't respond, simply turning her back against the others and walking towards the edge of the rooftop.

although, she was stopped by fists gripping her uniform's collar and was suddenly lifted in the air. the moon still held a faint smile. ❝so you were just acting like that all this time? you didn't actually wanted to save us? why is your personality so twisted? did you even care about taehyun's death!? answer me, moon aeri!❞

kang hyeon narrowed her eyes at lee cheongsan and made a move to shove the boy away from their leader when— the said girl let out a low chuckle. ❝since when did you think that i would care about you guys.❞

the council president stared at the class vice president's back of the head, her body moving to prevent the younger from saying things she didn't mean. ❝aeri, i think that's enough—❞

❝no, they want answers so they get answers.❞

turning back to the stunned lee, the moon girl let out a small smirk. ❝all those were an act, was i that good of an actress? maybe, i should be one..

i know that my personality was twisted to begin with. and as for moon taehyun, you could say.. i don't worry about him.❞ aeri felt the ground once again after her little series of answers and let her smirk grow.

❝any questions left? i want to get out of this hell hole as soon as possible.❞ chaewon, mihee, and hyeon glanced at each other— this was certainly not apart of the plan. the jung approached the girl and pulled her to escape with them, her arms wrapped around the moon's shoulders.

the choi sighed, shaking her head in disapproval as she stood up on the edge of the building. ❝we don't have any business with you now so farewell.❞ she muttered before letting herself fall, chaewon following soon after. hyeon reluctantly did as well, sparing a last glance at her girlfriend who refused to come with them.

the moon child huffed an amused breath and slowly walked towards the edge, only to stop when a familiar voice had spoken. ❝you.. did you really liked her in the first place?❞

lee suhyeok questioned, pointing at the unreadable choi namra who had her arms crossed while intently staring at moon aeri's figure— trying to see through her lies.

aeri halted at that, her hands that was on the edge forming into a fist— seemingly thinking about it. it was silent, everyone awaiting for her response. at last, she turned her head to meet the choi's gaze, a soft smile gracing her lips.

❝of course, i did.❞

and with that said, the moon child followed her friends' earlier doings and jumped off the building.
