Chapter five ⁵ | Name tag

Onjo, Minjun and Suhyeok all started walking up the stairs to go back to their classroom after their teacher, Ms Park left to finish something.

"Are you okay? Did she bite you?" Suhyeok was the first to speak as he asked Onjo a question.

"No it's just a scratch, Minjun and dad looked after it." Onjo answered touching her bandage, sharing a glance with Minjun as if thanking him silently to which he only smiled back.

"You sure you're all good? Is she?" Suhyeok first asked Onjo before double checking with Minjun since he'd helped out with the scratch.

"She's okay, she's tough and had worse cuts before." Minjun reassured while Onjo nodded along.

As they walked up the first flight of stairs they stopped at the break between the next flight when Suhyeok asked Onjo something, Onjo tugging her ponytail out to let her hair fall down against her shoulders.

"Hey, you wanted to meet on the roof?" Suhyeok spoke double checking causing Onjo to say a brief "what." While Minjun stood there putting his hands in his pockets.

"You said come up after lunch. Can you just tell me now. I'm actually playing basketball after lunch." Suhyeok pointed out wondering if she could say it now so they didn't have to go all the way to the roof, plus he would be busy. He also needed to ask Minjun if he was going to be playing basketball later since he'd never gotten the teens reply from this morning.

Onjo looked around to make sure no one was there before looking at Minjun expectantly, causing the teen to just blink confused, taking his hands out of his pockets watching Onjo like a clueless puppy.

"Minjun can you just... turn around for a second?" Onjo asked not having the heart to tell him to just leave.

Minjun looked even more lost at the odd request, sharing a look with Suhyeok who also had no idea before turning to Onjo again nodding before turning around so he was facing the wall, a boring wall.

"Put your hands on your ears Minnie." Onjo requested something again and without question Minjun cupped his ears with his hands causing everything to sound muffled.

Onjo smiling slightly at how easy Minjun listen to other people, though she'd have to make a mental note to later remind Minjun not to do things that strangers ask him too just in case, you never know what type of stranger would take advantage of others kindness, Onjo wasn't gonna let that happen to one of her best friends.

Onjo then properly turns to Suhyeok before grabbing something from her jacket pocket and holding it in her fist before holding it out towards Suhyeok trying to stay calm but butterflies were erupting in her stomach.

"What's this?" Suhyeok asked curiously looking down at her fisted hand slowly holding his hand open underneath hers when she didn't say anything.

Onjo opens her fist letting her spare school name tag drop into Suhyeok's palm causing the teen to look up from his palm and the name tag to Onjo.

"Wait. This means... you wanna go out with me." Suhyeok explained out loud stuttering a bit as he did, not expecting this to happen.

"Yeah." Onjo nods.

"But aren't you with Cheongsan?" Suhyeok asked, giving a quick glance over at Minjun who still faced away blocking his ears patiently waiting.

"No. We've lived next door ever since we were little kids, and his mother always gives me free chicken... and I do like chicken, And I love it but not him, I swear. Besides, I think he's pining for Minjun." Onjo explained, causing Suhyeok to look back at Minjun for a second then back to Onjo wondering how he was supposed to go around this.
