Sunday goes by in the blink of an eye, and Monday morning arrives. Valerie wakes up, does her usual morning routine, and goes to Books and Coffee Villa to get her drink. When she walks in, Valerie notices that the bookstore has become empty over the past week.
KYLE: It's sad, I know.
Valerie smiles sympathetically at Kyle.
KYLE: If you want, you can just take as many as you want. You've always been a regular customer.
VALERIE: No, you should make as much money as you can.
Kyle hands her the drink and waves goodbye. Valerie waves back at Kyle and the books, saying goodbye to both of them.
When she gets to work, she walks straight to her desk, where Levi and Jason talk in the office.
She steps into his office.
VALERIE: Good morning, Levi. Jason.
JASON: Good morning, Valerie.
LEVI: So go ahead and start getting these plans in order.
JASON: You got it.
Jason walks away, leaving Valerie and Levi alone. Before Valerie can talk, Zoey barges into his office.
ZOEY: Levi! What the hell were you thinking?
Zoey yelled, pushing Valerie out of the way. Levi stands and glances at Valerie to see if she is okay. Valerie looks back and decides to leave the room, but Zoey calls her out.
ZOEY: You're not going anywhere.
Valerie turns around as Zoey scowls at Levi.
ZOEY: Explain to me how you leave for some business trip without telling me. And with your assistant!
LEVI: Zoey, I need to speak to Valerie for a moment.
ZOEY: Guess what? You're going to talk to me now.
LEVI: Zoey, please. Just for a moment.
ZOEY: I said no.
VALERIE: I should leave.
ZOEY: I told you to stay.
LEVI: Valerie, just go.
Valerie turns around and sees Lorraine walking into the office.
VALERIE: Lorraine?
LEVI: Mom?
LORRAINE: What is with the yelling?
ZOEY: I know everything, Levi. About you and Valerie, don't try to deny it.
VALERIE: What about me?
ZOEY: That you-
LEVI: Zoey!
Jason enters the office.
JASON: Levi, what you need for the de-
Jason looks up and notices everyone in the office.
JASON: What's going on?
LEVI: Could you give me a minute, Jason.
Phoebe walks in.
PHOEBE: Valerie, can you - Woah, people.
Phoebe stays behind Jason, just outside the door.
ZOEY: Well, Levi. You have everyone here. Tell them.
Everyone looks at Levi, waiting for him to speak. Levi lifts his head high and takes a deep breath.
LEVI: I need everyone to leave this room.
