"Tess, do it!" I yelled as Jasmine and I sidestepped.

Tess raised her staff and released a barrage of wind blades at the group of fennics rushing towards us, instantly killing them.

We were currently on the ninth floor of a dungeon called Fanged Hell. The beasts we were facing right now were Fennics, who were E-Class mana beasts. These beasts looked like foxes and were half the size of snarlers.

Jasmine and I were not using mana to allow Tess to get some experience. Sylvie was watching from the sidelines as Regis was inside Tess's shadow, just in case she needed help.

The last two Fennics got around and were rushing towards Tess from the side. Fortunately, she saw that and with a swing of her staff, instantly took out the beasts.

"Alright, let's rest for a while. The next floor will be the boss room." I announced as Tess and Jasmine nodded.

It was just a few hours since we entered the dungeon, and we were already on the final floor of the dungeon. Tess was performing really great. She had some troubles in early floors since she was not used to fighting hordes but now she was slowly adapting to it.

"Great job out there. You are improving at a fast rate." I sat beside Tess's and patted her back.

"Thanks." Tess gave me a smile as she got back to meditating and replenishing her core.

Resting for a while, we replenished our cores. When Tess's core was completely replenished, we decided to move on. We soon arrived at the boss room as we stepped into the enormous dome of the boss chamber.

"Where is the boss?" Tessia asked curiously.

On cue, a roar filled the dome, and a huge fox landed in front of us. This was a B-Class beast, Fennixas. It looked like it would be the only boss we will be facing, so it should be a good matchup for Tess.

"So what's the plan?" Tess asked, keeping her eyes focused on the beast.

"You beat the boss." I stated, turning towards Tess.

"Are you sure?" Tess hesitantly asked.

"Yes, I'm sure there is no other beast around to interrupt. I and Jasmine will still be ready in case you need help." I gave her a reassuring smile.

Tess took a deep breath before she had a determined look in her eyes and faced me. "Alright."

Tess moved towards the huge Fennixas. The beast raised a brow after seeing Tess. It roared at Tess, trying to intimidate her, but Tess stood her ground. I had several wind bullets around me, ready in case something went wrong.

With another roar, the beast rushed towards Tess. She instantly raised her staff and several vines shot out from the ground, surrounding the beast. They were able to slow down the beast for a moment, but it managed to get out unscathed.

The moment it slowed down was all the time Tess needed. With the swing of her staff, she released several wind blades at the beast. The beast let out a painful scream as it rushed towards Tess.

As soon as the beast jumped, Tess stopped it with a water barrier, which gave Tess enough time to sidestep the beast. She then raised the bladed side of her staff and pierced the beast's abdomen slightly below its core.

The beast let out a painful cry, but before it could do anything, Tess created a water serpent and shot the beast with it, which pushed the beast back.

Now the beast was barely able to get up. Tess created a wind drill at the end of her staff and thrusted it forward. The wind drill shot towards the beast and hit its chest, piercing its heart and throwing the beast towards the wall.
