A week passed, and Cha-young was finally free from the quarantine procedure that was changed because of her background and condition
No bite marks, scratch marks from the infected, nor the signs of being asymptomatic. She was released from the quarantine base and back to her home, their training base
She was making her way towards the training base, wearing her washed-killing-zombies attire. Her hair had grown longer, and her injuries was healed. She walked through the entrance, earning some bewildered look from the agents there
"Park Cha-young?"
"She's back?"
"But where are the others?"
"Jae-hyun and Chang-min died when they tried to get out of Hyosan High. I heard it from the directors"
She ignored the voices, clenching her jaw when she reached their director's office. A white envelope in her hand was tightly held, her eyes holding nothing but hatred
She had heard everything about him from Maria who had sent her a letter explaining how he got promoted for sending them to a mission, authorizing it with no one's permissions and that they volunteered for the mission
He'll be a higher director in two days, angering her even more when nothing about them got mentioned on the news. All of the people and nation are praising him, even the president and higher ups
She barged in, not bothering to knock as the man inside got startled by her presence
"Cha-young"
He said, standing up as she stood there with a blank face
"Long time no see, director. How have you been? I'm sure you're thrilled with the promotion. After all, our mission gave you a ladder and free entrance to gain a higher power and compliments. Isn't that nice?"
She said with a smile, sending a shiver to the director as he spoke
"I'm sorry about what happened to Chang-min and-"
"Don't say their names with that mouth of yours. It's disgusting"
She then slammed the envelope on his table, startling him again as she nudged her head to the paper. He took it carefully, opening it as he widened his eyes when he saw what the letter is
