Loud clap could be heard echoing through the big hall that was decorated for the Director's promotion, the man walking up to the stage with a big smile
The door was opened, revealing a woman with furious heart, her eyes was glued to one person only
The Director
She clapped her hands, joining the crowds and took a seat at the back of the hall where no people could be seen crowding. She leaned her back on the chair, watching as the man laughed when he received a bouquet of flower with a certificate of his promotion and a new higher place in the NIS
"Thank you so much for welcoming me"
He started, and the crowds fell silent to hear what he's going to say
"The moment I sent out the mission's proposal, they didn't approve of it because it was dangerous and how little the information we got about the infected is. But I said otherwise. I sent my agents out, although they were right. But without my courage, can we get the solution? All I've done is the responsibility that a director supposed to do"
He said energetically, acting as if he just saved the world by himself. He continued to babble about his achievement, courage, and etcetera. His eyes eventually fell on the woman at the back, stopping on his words
Noticing his stare, she tapped on her phone twice, signaling for something
And not a second later, the lights were off
The hall was nothing but a pitch black with noises of the crowds exclaiming in shock as the background
Again, the lights were on. But this time, it was dimmed towards the director
"Oh, is this a surprise for me?"
He asked with laugh, looking at the people managing the ceremony who was just as confused as everybody else
