Even on the other side of the planet, the stars are the same.
Even though I am miles away, my eyes search for you as if nothing changed.
I look up at the sky and find every star aligned the same,
That is how I think of you; on the other side of the seas, I still search for your name.
The eyes know you can't possibly be here,
Yet in all their glory, they widen to see if you are there in the rain.
Like a child lost in the rush trying to find his mother in vain,
I look for your hand to hold through these heavy chains.
Like a dove trying to free itself, you have gotten me caged.
You are the key to this prison, set me free with your love,
That is how I will forget
what is my pain.
