     Marinette's  POV:

She knows she feels safer than she has in years.

She hears Adrien sigh.  She believes it has not been easy on him.

    "Hand it over, Missy."

"Mister, you must have me mistaken for someone else."

"Marinette Dupain-Cheng, give me the papers."

She looks up at the creep.  She does not know what he wants.

    "Papers, what papers?"

"Run!"  She hears Adrien blurt out.

      "Adrien, I cannot leave you."

"Marinette, trust me."  Adrien pleads with her.

Marinette shakes her head.  She cannot do it.

How can she flee and leave him defenseless?

"Sorry, but I am not going anywhere."

She charges at the villain and kicks him.

Adrien looks on in amazement.  Where did she learn to fight like this?

         He transforms.

           "Leave her alone!"

Chat attacks them as they harm her.  "No!"

"Chat, tell Adrien, I am sorry."

     She blackens out.

   Chat Noir's  POV:

Chat Noir is furious.  How dare someone do this to his princess.

He calls for help.  The help arrives as soon as they can to the scene.

So, many hours later, Chat has destransformed.

  He goes to see her.

   He asks about her condition.

"Sorry, she has not woken yet, Adrien Agreste."

Adrien goes to her.

"Why, do you refuse to trust me?"

    "Do you hate me?"

"Marinette, please give me a sign, anything that you can hear me."

 No response.

"%^&*#  it Marinette, you go and  pull something like this."

"The question is, why did you do it?"

"Look, I know you probably will never want me, but that is no reason to do something like this."

"Do you not know how important you are to me?"

    "To everyone, m'lady."

Author's note: Marinette never told him she is the hero, ladybug.  He would recognize that bravery anywhere.

"M'lady, Marinette, why did  not you tell me?"

"I thought we could tell each other everything."

"Tell me, is there someone else?"  Adrien's tears refuse to go away.

"I love you, and I always will, Marinette Dupain -Cheng."

Adrien rubs a thumb across her hand.  He refuses to leave her.

"M-Marinette, I must know, even if it hurts. Do you love somebody?"
