Marinette's POV:
She opens her eyes to see Adrien close by her.
She feels his thumb gently rub against the knuckles on her right hand.
She recalls every word he spoke while she was in a coma.
"Adrien, I could not let them kill you." She mutters.
"Marinette, m'lady, you had me worried."
"Are you Chat?"
"Spot on, I have been with you more than you know."
She shakes her head. She refuses to believe it.
How can Adrien be Chat? There is no way this is real.
"Marinette, you could have died. I d-do not want to lose you."
Adrien stares at her with some much love. Marinette refuses to look away.
Marinette places a hand on his face. "A-Adrien, I-I..."
The doctor enters the room before she can finish whatever she was about to say.
Marinette's hand slides off his face and drops down by her side once more.
Adrien notices Marinette's eyes close again. This time she is not breathing.
Adrien screams for them to do something. He stands back as they try to revive her.
He sobs. He does not notice when they shock her heart back into rhythm.
He cries himself to sleep.
Marinette comes too. She survives. She smiles when she sees Adrien.
She promises herself she will tell him later. It is the least she can do.
Author's Note: What does she plan to tell Adrien? Why is it so important to her that he knows?
