The silent girl from class...

The quiet girl with her problems

"Did anyone from you ever watch a movie from 'Saw'?" asked the teacher. Then she answered. The quiet girl in the class. Everyone stared at her and started laughing. "As if Pia saw one of those horror movies. She's way too scared for that." They said something like that. Then she started talking.
"Why? It's funny to see how people are slaughtered and their painful screams are like balm for the soul."
Everyone stared at her. She said nothing more. Everyone was silent, nobody dared to say anything. Apperently no one had expected such an answer.
"Are you disturbed in any way?" someone suddenly asked.
"Maybe?" she answered.
Then her best friend spoke: "She's always been like that. She's obsessed with serial killers and their stories. Sometimes she even plans her own murders." No one could believe that the quiet girl in the class was psychopathic.
"She should go to the police or something." someone said. Most agreed, so someone called the police, who arrived a little later.
"So who called us and why?" asked the police. A boy answered. "That girl over there is a psychopath." he said. "A psychopath? How do you know that?"
"She said she finds it funny how people get slaughtered and she's obsessed with serial killers."
"Ok..." One of the police officers approached the girl. "Excuse me? We'll take you to the station now, ok?"
"Ok."
He took her hand. She was rough and cold. She followed the policemen without objection.
"Tell my mother I'm with the police." she said. Then she disappeared with the police officers.

At the police station, whe was supposed to sit on a chair and the policemen sat across from her. "So... we'd like to ask you a few questions now. Is that okay?" he asked. She stared into his eyes.
"What's your name?"
"Pia."
"Can you tell us a little bit about yourself Pia?"
"Of course. I'm Pia, 16 years old and I live in Brandenburg*. My hobbies are playing the guitar and keyboard. I've been dancing for 11 years occasionally ride horses. About the serial killer thing. Yes, I'm interested in the stories. I think so too interesting how the killers grew up and how they committed their first murders. What I love most are horror movies that show how someone getting killed. The slow and agonizing deaths are always the best. And the screams of the victims-..." Then she was interrupted.
"Pia.. calm down. Do you find something like this really interesting? Can we show you pictures of specific killers and you can name them?" He waited anxiously for an answer.
"We can try it." He took out pictures and putone in front of her.
"Who is this?" she grinned. "The campus killer. Or Ted Bundy."
The policeman nodded in surprise. Then he put the next picture in front of her.. and the next..
"Green River Killer, Gary Ridgway... Night Stalker, Richard Ramirez... The Monster of Berlin, Carl Grossmann..."
He stopped. "How come you know them all?"
"I listened to documentaries and podcasts."
"You seem very interested in the subject."
"Yes I am."
"And have you ever imagined killing someone yourself?" he asked cautiously.
"Yes. Quite often. I've made plans too." she said staring at him. That was apparently a red flag for him. He got up, took out the handcuffs and walked over to her.
"So that you don't endanger anyone, I have to put handcuffs on you."
"Ok."
She freed her forearms. Them the policeman saw the scars on her arm.
"Tell me Pia... is everything alright?" he asked quietly.
"No... it hasn't been for a long time..." she answered softly.
"Are you in psychological treatment?"
"Yes. A year now."
"That's good." He put the handcuffs around her wrists.
"Come on, get up. I'll take you to another room."
"Please... I don't want to be alone... anything else could happen..." she whispered.
"I stay with you."
She nodded and went into a small room with him. He really stayed.
