Yesterday we had a assembly about Women empowerment and feminism in our school. During that assembly, there was a part where one of the students said that "Women are more powerful than men" and the whole school clapped while i was sitting there confused.
Personally I always thought that feminism is all about fighting for equal rights for women, showing that men and women are equal and neither is more powerful than the other.
Am i wrong in my views?
I personally think that both Men and Women are equal in all ways. But when heard that sentence i felt a little confused. Aren't we dong the same thing that some men did and still do, labelling women as inferior to make themselves feel superior?
Why do we feel the need to push some one else down to pull ourselves up?
Am i wrong in my views?
Every individual in the world is equal and until they prove otherwise.
Will be very happy if someone cleared my doubts
