Y/N's POV:
Today was a regular normal Tuesday at school. Valentine's Day was on Friday & I still don't have a Valentine. It's alright though. I also like one of the boys on the team. His name is Kenny Wu. Thing is that he's my best friend so I don't wanna ruin our friendship between us.

I was at my locker getting my books for my 3rd period class, which was Biology. I saw someone lean against the locker next to me from the corner of my eye. "Hey Y/N.", the voice said.

I sighed & rolled my eyes. I immediately knew who it was. I turned to my right to see Rick Riley. I looked at him with a glare. "What do you want now, Rick? I don't have time to be staring at your unattractive self."

Rick chuckled & looked at me with a smirk. "Woah, sweetie. You're a pretty fiesty one I can tell. Say, why don't I take you out on a date and make you my Valentine. I know you won't regret it.", he said while putting a piece of my hair behind my ear.

I growled & smack his hand away. I then pushed him away. "Eww! In your dreams. Besides, aren't you with Mindy!?"

I then felt someone pull me by the arm & put me behind them. It was Kenny. "Come on Rick. Just leave Y/N alone. Can't you take the hint that she's not interested?"

Rick scoffed & shoved him a little. "And what are you gonna do about it, little man? Huh?"

I grabbed Kenny's hand & put him aside. "Just leave him alone, shithead! Or else I'll tell your dad how much of a sore loser you really are. I don't care if you're a rich boy or not!"

Rick smirked once again. "Looks like the princess is protecting her sweet prince. Have it your way, Y/L/N."

I rolled my eyes. "Ugh, get lost you stupid jock!", I said as he walked away.

I got my books & closed my locker. I looked back at Kenny. "Ugh. Most rich boys are so stuck up I swear. They're annoying."

Kenny leaned against the locker. "Banksie's a rich boy. So you're calling him annoying too?", he chuckled.

I rolled my eyes & giggled. "I said most, not all. Banksie's not annoying. We all gotta love him."

He laughed. "Yeah, I know. Also, don't forget that we have practice after school at 4."

I sighed. "Right. I forgot about that. I'd rather stay home, but I ain't gonna lose my position. Well I gotta get to class. I'll talk to you later, Kenny. Bye." I waved at him with a smile & he smiled back. I swear I saw him blushing. Maybe I'm seeing things.

The school day was finally over. I had went straight to the locker room to go put on my gear. I opened the door to not hear or see anyone in the locker room. I was confused, but I still decided to change into my hockey gear.

After changing, I walked to the entrance of the ice rink. I open the double doors & walked in to see rose pedals scattered on the floor, making a path into the rink.

I walked forward & skated onto the rink. I skated to the middle of the rink & looked down to see a big rose pedals heart with a question carved in the ice. It said "Will you be my Valentine?"

I gasped & covered my mouth, thinking it was the most adorable thing ever. Kenny then skated onto the rink behind me. I looked at him blushing. He smiled back at me. "So, you like what I did?", he asked.

I nodded my head & giggled. "Kenny, this is so cute! I love it! You did all this for me?"

He nodded. "Yeah. I wanted to do this, because the truth is....I love you Y/N. Ever since the moment we became best friends, I knew you were the one for me. You're beautiful, kind, caring, and so many more words I could use to describe a girl like you. No other girl can compare to you. You always put a smile on my face no matter what. So....what do you say?"

He then pulled out a rose bouquet from behind his back. "Y/N, will you be my Valentine and my girlfriend?"

I took the rose bouquet from him & kissed him with one hand on his cheek. He kissed me back for a few seconds. I pulled away & giggled. "Of course, I will Kenny. Also, I had liked you back, but I didn't wanna tell you."

The Ducks came up from behind the boards & cheered us on. "Kenny's the man, now!", Russ yelled.

"Get it, Kenny!", Charlie yelled.

"Looks like Kenny's getting all the girls now.", Luis said.

We both giggled & hugged each other. I honestly didn't expect my best friend/crush to ask me out on Valentine's Day. I basically just fell for my best friend. Who knew I would end up with him? I wouldn't have it any other way without him though.
