Dwayne's POV Me and Y/N have been best friends for 2 years & it's always fun to be around her. The thing is though is that I've liked her ever since, but I've never had the guts to tell her. Tonight is the Eden Hall school dance and I wanna make my move & give her a night to remember.
Y/N's POV I was walking to my next class after I got out of History. I went to my locker to get my books, then I felt two hands cover my eyes.
"Guess who." I could recognize that Southern accent anywhere. It was no other than my best friend Dwayne.
"Hey Cowboy", I giggled as he removed his hands.
"Hey Y/N, can I ask you a question?"
"Yeah sure"
"Well, as you know, the school dance is this Friday. I- I was wondering if you wanted to go with me along with the ducks?" Dwayne stuttered nervously.
"Are you kidding me, of course I will! What time is the dance?"
"It starts at 8:30, but I'll meet you at your dorm around 8 so we can walk together."
"Sounds like a plan!", I said winking.
"Yee haw, see you tonight Y/N!" I laughed as Dwayne walked away. I closed my locker & walked to my next class.
~Later That Night~ It was almost time for the dance & for Dwayne to arrive. I was busy doing my makeup.
For my outfit, I put on a light pink spaghetti strap dress with my light brown cowgirl boots with a gold heart necklace that said "Love" inside. I then put on my light blue long sleeve denim jacket. I curled my hair & put on light pink glitter lipgloss, blush, & mascara.

I heard a knock at the door. I opened the door & there stood Dwayne. He was wearing a Blue Paisley Long Sleeve Button up Western shirt with light blue jeans & his brown cowboy boots. He was also wearing his usual black cowboy hat.

"Looking good cowboy". I winked & laughed at him.
"Dwayne?". I waved my hand in his face.
Dwayne's POV When Y/N opened the door, I couldn't stop staring at her. She looked so beautiful & gorgeous. She was such a cutie pie.
Y/N'S POV "Dwayne! Are you ok?"
He snapped out of it and said "oh um-, yeah I'm fine."
"Should we get going cowgirl"
"Yes we should cowboy"
I grabbed my little purse & headed out the door with Dwayne.
