Divine beings were only for those who prayed day and night. They answered to those devout and sincere in the words that fell from the prayer's mouths.

This divine being that fell from the graces of her superiors wasn't supposed to be here, wasn't supposed to fall into the hands and lives of the living. She was an onlooker. To make sure the fates played out as they were written.

What is an angel to do when a committed and devout man is breathing his last breath in an unfair war waged between the human she fell in love with and the demon that decided the fate of another being? A demon who lived three-fold to the young man valiantly giving his life in the name of others, who spent his life protecting those who could not protect themselves.

This is how the angel found herself in a large open room, surrounded by her superiors who rose above her in the darkness, a veil to hide the identities of them all. Casting their judgement upon her, treason against higher powers than even her. Revoking her of her place for committing the only crime she could commit in her eternity in the heavens.

Divine Intervention.

And from there on out, she was thrown to the Earth.

"If you wish so badly to save the being you love so much, do so. Time has been rewritten hero go now and bare the ultimate consequences with a mortal soul."

Spiteful words from spiritual beings were all she heard before the feeling of falling overcome her. Darkness overshadowing her in her free fall through the clouds, opening to a blue sky lit by the sun to her right. The ashes from her burning wings concaved on her through the sheer force of the wind at her back.

The punishment did not include the fall, in fact, it was the safest free fall an angel cast out of the heavens could receive, the punishment was a mortal life. An end to an otherwise immortal life she would have led.

Another question was to be asked. Will I remember myself? Am I starting new?

She could hear the birds now and her fall has gotten soften, her back feeling something new as she closed her eyes, now flat on the ground softly. The energy of the Earth gently flew into her like a river who hasn't seen the harsh rains in a few days' time.

She took a deep breath and opened her eyes to the new world around her. It was one thing to experience the beauty of life from the heavens but up close and feeling the grass around her with the tips of her fingers was another thing. It felt beautiful and, in that moment, she knew, she knew herself and her being.

Was it another supposed punishment to remember her life before being cast out?

Standing up she felt the weight of her being for the first time in her life. In the heavens everything is light, there is no burden of weight or anything otherwise. A seamless and easy life is what the heavens provides.

There's no mistake to be had, love is not a punishment, and to fall in love with mortals was not unheard of in the heavens, it was not a deadly cast set onto others. Choices are given to those who desperately feel the desire to separate oneself from the heavens.

Going so far as to commit Divine Intervention was all the angel's superiors needed to know regarding her choice of where she decided to be. No angel who made the choice to leave the heavens and accept a mortal life was punished.

The heavens appreciated devotion, whether it be to the higher powers or to ones own admitted emotions. Of course, the higher ranked and aged angels were not happy with how she intervened in fate for a mortal, but it was no surprise either. Any strong emotions and feelings can be shared and felt between angels. The aura resonated with everyone during the mortals supposed time of death from the angel who watched above. The air was tense, desperate, saddening. Angels don't cry, and when they do, it was felt between everyone.
