When I was young and new,
I learnt about the plague in history.
Seemed so unreal, but now it's reality.
Something I never thought would be true.
I was in year eight,
Everything was fine.
Learning and playing with mates.
I didn't know it would change with time.
Faster then my eyes could see it,
Instead of smiles, masks.
Instead of dresses, PPE kits.
Freedom was in the past.
Now I'm in year 10,
This is reality.
It's changed so much since then,
We are making history.
