She was gorgeous. So perfectly graceful, cared just the right amount, did what she thought was right. It was admirable. Gorgeous in looks and even more so in personality. She joined the hospital nearly a year ago now, under Dr House's team in diagnostics. Over six months of which I have been admiring from afar.

Working in the Emergency Room meant that I didn't get to see her that often, but sometimes our clinic hours would overlap, or I would catch her walking down the corridor. Dr Allison Cameron. She seemed too sweet for life. I know she's not, of course. I'm not that naïve, but I am yet to know her to be otherwise.

My thoughts were broken abruptly apart by the calling of my name, "Dr Kate". Right. Work.

"Yes? Sorry, what did you say?", plastering a smile on, hoping to cover my flustered expression.

"I said there's an ambulance coming in with a teenage boy, aged fifteen. Suspected spinal injury. Concussion. ETA three minutes." A nurse informed me.

I thanked her and started preparing for the newest casualty, effectively pushing all thoughts of Dr Cameron to the back of my mind. For now.
