~49~ A Fight With Remus

Over the next few weeks, I was starting to feel better. With Bill and I not working, we spent our days cuddled up together.

One night as I was taking a shower, I heard the door of the bathroom open and found the shower curtain suddenly being wrenched apart and Bill stepped in.

"Bill!" I said, putting a hand to my heart. "You gave me a fright!"

"What, I can't take a shower with my wife?" he asked cheekily.

I smirked and turned away, washing the soap away from my face. Bill wrapped his arms around my waist and I leaned against him, letting the warm water fall onto us.

I grabbed the shampoo and turned around in his arms, and began putting shampoo in his hair. We both started laughing as I made his hair stick up.

He grabbed some soap and put it on my chin, making a beard. I giggled and we washed the soap off. I pressed my lips against his as his hands pulled me closer to him.

Suddenly, we heard a knock at the door and we pulled away.

"Were you expecting anyone?" asked Bill.

I shook my head.

With Voldemort being at power, everyone was sending Patronuses of when they would be visiting, as to not scare anyone.

The knock came again, louder this time.

"I doubt it's a Death Eater," said Bill, as we quickly got dressed.

"They would have blasted the door apart." I said, nodding.

I ran downstairs and opened the door, holding my wand.

"Remus?" I asked. "What are you doing here?"

Remus was standing at the doorstep, looking upset.

"Can I come in?" he asked.

I stepped aside and let him in, just as Bill came down.

"Who is it...Remus!"

We all sat at the kitchen table.

"What's wrong?" I asked Remus.

Remus stayed silent, before saying "Tonks is pregnant."

I jumped up and Bill clapped his back.

"Oh congrats!" I said, hugging Remus. "Wow, I'm going to have a grand niece!"

Remus gave a small smile.

"Rem, what's wrong?" I asked.

"I- I've made a mistake."

"What are you talking about?" asked Bill.

"I've made a mistake in marrying her, my child will be like me!"

"Remus just-"

"I tried to go with Harry, Ron and Hermione but Harry got angry and me and I left."

"Oh Remus I-, hold on, what do you mean you tried to go with the three?"

He looked up. "I- I left Tonks, with her parents."

I narrowed my eyes. "You what?"

He paled as he looked at my angry face. "She's safer with her parents-"

"So you just left her?" I said angrily.

"You don't understand-"

"Yes I do!" I yelled. "You left your wife and child!"

"No, I mean yes but-"

I slapped Remus and drew my wand out.

"Fawn!" said Bill, pulling at my arm.

"You have three seconds to get out of my house."

"Wait, Fawn just let me-" began Remus.

"You left my pregnant niece!" I raged. "GET OUT!"

Remus left the house and I grabbed Bill's hand.

"Where are we-?" he asked, as I dragged him outside.

"To Andromeda's house."

We Apparated and I pounded on the door.

"It's me Fawn!" I said.

Andromeda opened the door. "Fawn I-"

"Where's Tonks?"

"In the living room, she's a bit upset right now Remus-"

"I know." I said.

Andromeda led Bill and I to the living room, where Tonks was sitting with Ted.

"Tonks!"

"Oh Fawn," she wailed, when she saw me. "He just left! I know he's scared but, I need him I-"

"Nymphadora Tonks-Lupin!" I said loudly. "You do not need Remus! Look, I admit, when he came just now, I got angry at him and kicked him out. But I understand that he's worried about you and your child. He will come back, I'm sure of it."
