Valencia ( Val )
I sigh for the 50th time & lean back in my chair, spinning around in circles. I chew on my pen & look up at the ceiling in boredom. I stop spinning & check the time once again. It's currently 2:27 pm & I'm waiting impatiently until 2:30 pm hits, so I can go home & take a nap before going to my 2nd job at 6.
"MILLER!" I hear my boss call & I quickly grab the papers & run to his office. I trip on the step once AGAIN, falling face first on the ground. The papers fly everywhere & I shut my eyes, sighing. I slowly stand & dust myself off, avoiding my boss's gaze. I kneel & begin to pick up the papers from the ground.
"Are you okay, love?" I hear the familiar woman's voice & slowly look up at Mrs. Valentino. I smile & she kindly returns one. She quickly rushes over to me & helps me pick up the papers. I notice the purple hickey on her neck.
Freaky fucks.
"Thank you Mrs. Valentino." I smile at the tall dark skin woman. Mr. Valentino is a very lucky man. This woman is beautiful. I would f-

"Call me Vanessa. I've told you this plenty of times Val." She smiles rubbing my shoulder & I nod smiling. I stand up with the papers in my hands & gently sit them down on my boss's desk.
"This is your 11th time falling into my office. Do I have to remove the small step at my door?" He asks concerned & I nod.
"Um that would be nice." I say, rubbing the back of my neck & he chuckles before nodding.
"I'll have it removed during the weekend." He speaks & I nod. I wave good bye to his wife & she waves, a smile plastered on her face. I quickly leave, heading back to my desk. I check the time & it's 2:30. I clean up my area & grab my things, quickly leaving.
I walk towards the elevator & press the button waiting patiently for the metal doors to open. The elevator dings & the elevator doors open. I step in & click on the number 1 button. The elevator doors close & I lean against the wall. I watch as the numbers on the elevator goes down until it reaches 1.
The elevator dings & the doors slowly open. I step out of it & walk away, waving good bye to the receptionist. I walk out of the building & cross the street, walking towards my car. I grab my keys unlocking the door & step in. I shut the door I put my keys in the ignition before driving off.
...
I sigh & stare at the restaurant in front of me. I walk in & I am greeted with my co worker's bright smile. She embraces me into a hug & I smile, wrapping my arms around her.
"Go get dressed, we have a meeting today with the big boss." She says, pulling away & I nod. I walk into the bathroom & change into the restaurant uniform. I put my hair into a low puff & sigh. I walk out of the bathroom & quickly walk over to my co workers, who are standing in a line.
I stand next to my childhood best friend , Dimitri & he smiles. He kisses my cheek & I smile, my cheeks heating up. My manager approaches me & stares at me with a disapproving look.
"You've gotten fatter." She glares at me & I sigh.
"You're fired." I hear a deep raspy voice speak & my body gets chills. Everyone gasps & we turn our heads, staring at the man who is glaring at our manager, Vic.
"W-What?" She whispers, tears threatening to fall from her eyes.
"I don't tolerate bullying. Now, get the fuck out of my restaurant." He speaks coldly & I gulp. I stare at Dimitri & he shakes his head.
She nods, her lips beginning to quiver. She glares at me before storming away.
"Anyways, good evening people." The man speaks, facing us. I take a good look at his face & this man is attractive as hell.
His gaze slowly drifts onto me & I gulp. His green eyes piercing into my brown eyes. His curly hair wet & messy but he still looks professional. His perfect nose & plump lips. I watch as the corner of his lips slight lift. I look away & stare down at my feet.
I hear quiet mumbles from my other co workers & sigh. Dimitri rubs my shoulder & I give him a small smile. I look at the ground, admiring the polished marble floor.
"What's your name?" I hear his deep voice & I slowly lift my head staring into his soulless green eyes. He stares at me blankly, waiting for an answer.
"Um Valencia sir, but I go by Val." I say, barely above a whisper & he nods.
"Milo Valentino." He speaks & everyone nods.
"I will be staying in Toronto for a while. All of you will be seeing me around more often." He speaks & I watch him put his hands in his pants pockets.
My eyes linger up & down the man's body, I run my tongue over my bottom lip. He is wearing an all black suit. His muscles bulging through his suit jacket. His black trousers hugging his thighs perfectly.
Dimitri pokes my hip & I drift my gaze from my boss to him.
"Stop drooling & pay attention." He chuckles & I nod, a small smile forming on my lips.
"That's all people." He says & we all nod, walking away. As I'm about to walk passed my boss, he grabs my arm stopping me from walking any further. My co workers stare at me in confusion before walking away.
"If anyone ever picks on you again, let me know & I won't hesitate to deal with them." He speaks, his eyes holding a promise & I nod.
"Thank you sir." I say giving him a small smile & he nods letting go of my arm. I quickly walk away & head into the kitchen. All of my co workers stare at me.
"Why did no one ever mention that our boss is fine as hell?" One of my female co worker speaks & I laugh.
"The way I would let that man bend me over & have his way with me. Lord forgive me." Alana, one of the funniest people in this place speaks & my eyes widen. I burst into a fit of laughter & everyone laughs.
"Imagine if he hears you." I say & she shrugs.
"I hope he takes it into consideration." She smiles & I shake my head, a small laugh escaping my lips. I grab a notepad & leave the kitchen, approaching a table.
From afar, I see my boss leaning against the door frame speaking on the phone. His gaze falls on me & I quickly look away.
"Hi, welcome to Restaurante Coranzón de Oro. What would you lovely people like to drink today?" I smile brightly.
Golden heart.
I lift my head & stare at my boss before drifting my gaze back to the customers.
He's attractive as fuck.
