In my mind a modern Stormlight Shallan would adore flowers, stars and bright colors in her outfits. She'd also be the person to wear lots of oversized sweatshirts and jeans with embroidered elements or painted decals on them because she thinks they're cute and fun. She loves to go thrifting because she can find some real gems that she can alter to her style easily. Her color pallet is mostly yellows and other bright colors but she has some muted tones as well.
Her and Adolin would go on dates to the thrift store and a coffeeshop where they'd meet Kal aka the sad lonely bastard who needs friends but doesn't try to effort to make them.
Also these outfits align with Shallan because they let her express herself in ways she wouldn't be able to when she lived at her house with her family.
Shallans majoring in something like art and natural sciences because art is art and she loves art and she can study that and learn stuff that way.
Jasnah is her advisor and she also ends up being Everyone's advisor even though they're not in the same college.
