Ryder and I made it out safely. We've been driving for seven freaking hours, and I have no clue where we are.

We stopped speaking four hours ago.

Not even because I want to, but because the farther away we get, the more stressed he becomes.

I tried holding his hand at one point, but he tossed my hand off him, loudly sighing.

So I've been sitting here silently, dozing off here and there.

I'm honestly really scared about leaving. I don't know if this was the right choice.

What if everything would have been fine?

What if this was a mistake?

What if we left Honey for no reason?

She's probably scared and hungry. The thought of that makes my heart ache, making me want to cry.

But I can't cry or voice my opinion without making him mad.

So instead, I lean my head against the window, curl my legs up, praying for sleep.

I guess I did fall asleep, as I am startled awake by the driver side door slamming shut.

I shoot upwards, looking around curiously.

To see us at a hotel.

Ryder comes to my door, pulling it open.

"Here is what you're going to do, Layla. You've never been reported missing. If the cops send a warrant for me, I can't have my name on record. I need you to go inside, and get a hotel room. Okay?" He says.

I nod my head, as he shoves cash into my palm, moving out of the way.

I make my way inside, seeing a young girl behind the counter with cute curly blonde hair and big blue eyes.

"Hi! What can I do for you?" She asks in a chipper voice.

I smile kindly at her and reply that I need a room.

We go through the checking in process, and she hands me the key, pointing in which direction my room is.

"If you need any towels or shower soaps, you can call down here and it will be brought up. Breakfast is from 6 to 9." She tells me.
