=Bittersweet Memories=

You were humming a tune while standing at the gates of your school, waiting for someone

Soon, you stopped when you heard footsteps from behind. You smiled and turned around with a wave

"Oy! What took you so—"

As you open your eyes, you saw no one? 'what? I thought he's done...' This made you nervous yet confused but then someone spooked you

"Why are you still here?"

A monotone voice was heard from beside you and it made you jump. You turned around to look at the person and it's just him

"Aiyaaa, you scared me!" you exclaimed as you slapped his shoulder softly and he groaned. "What took you so long? You kicked someone's butt, didn't ya?" you cheerfully said while playing with his arm. 'I can see that he had a fight because of the bruise on his cheek and some on his hands'

"tsk, I told you to not wait for me" Xiao hissed but you ignored him and giggled

"C'mon, I don't mind~. Besides, do you want me to walk home alone while the sun sets? Isn't that a little dangerous for a little girl like me~?" you teasingly asked and he avoided your gaze and walked past the girl

"Fine"

You let out a wide smile and caught up to him as you grabbed his arm, hugging it. "Let's go to the convenience store and buy some ice for your cheek first!" you said while he sighed

"Ah— Don't press too hard!" Xiao hissed and you just glared at him playfully

"Oh c'mon, don't be such a drama queen" you rolled your eyes and laughed but Xiao didn't seem pleased

"So~ who's the lucky guy who pissed you off today, hm?" You asked as you proceed on putting ice wrapped with cloth on his swollen cheek. "Heck, I didn't see you get beaten up this hard before. He must be pretty tough~"

"Shut up" he growled and you chuckled

"Aaanndd we're here~! Thanks Xiao!" (y/n) exclaimed while you pat his head and he groaned

"It's getting cold. Go inside" Xiao hissed and you laughed

"Fineeee, grumpy" (y/n) teased and went inside the gates of your house while Xiao started to walk away "Walk home safe, okay? And try not to beat up random guys on the way!" you yelled but Xiao ignored the girl

You smiled and were about to head inside but your phone rang. You stopped midway in front of the door and grabbed your phone to see who's calling you. The girl blushed a little shade of pink as soon she sees the caller id.

You smiled widely and accepted the call "Hey, what's up?" (y/n) casually asked and placed her hand on the strap of her bag

"Hey, uhh.. Do you have plans tonight?" The boy asked her but she chuckled

"Hmmm, let me think~" she teased which made him laugh

"Oh really~? Then I'll wait for you outside for your answer" He said and soon you heard someone knocking on the gates behind you. (y/n) smiled and turned around to see Chile holding his phone on his ear with a grin on his face. "So~? You down or nah?" he asked again and you laughed 'Kai said that he has his night shift tonight sooo'

"I'm down," You said while chuckling and he looked thrilled by your answer

"Wise choice, M'lady" he chuckled and you ended the call with a grin. (y/n) went back to the gates while Childe grabs his jacket out of his bag. You stopped in front of him and raised an eyebrow after he placed his jacket on your shoulders
