"The ultimate ability... What kinda crap is that?"

Pointa met up with the President's spies on the rails of a subway connected to the Secretives base they raided days ago. While he was on his way there, tasked by the President's attendant to pick them up, the spies had found out that Cain Johnson was doing illegal research to create the "Ultimate Ability", one that he planned to eventually take for himself.

"Cain wants to be able to manipulate space and materials. That's what it is."

"Still, isn't it too much for a person to handle?" Pointa took a gulp of his beer. "I mean, no one can become a true god, right?"

"Yes. The President is fairly certain that he knows of that fact, which is why he hasn't developed it yet."

"Hm, alright. Now come on, I gotta take you to the surface."

He led the spies to the hatch that was opened when they raided the place, only to find an entire group standing on the island.

"Uh... Is there anything going on here?"

"Ah, you're here," said the President. "Thank you for accompanying my men to the surface."

"You're welcome... but why is everyone here?"

The entire group that raided the base a few days ago, including Arizu, Luna, and the electric girl were there, prepared for the day. The President talked with his spies for a moment, then said, "We're going to stop Cain from creating the Ultimate Ability."

"What does he intend to do with the Ultimate Ability?"

"Infinity, as he calls it, will allow him to reshape the world to his liking. And considering how he can wipe out objects, much less people, it's gonna be a while before we all have to bow down to him if we don't stop him."

"That man's crazy," said Arizu. "Don't try to imagine how many people are suffering the same fate as Luna if she was still trapped in there. You can't."

"...I can," Klein said from behind. "Also, who's this sniper girl?"

A sniper was tinkering with her gun while sitting next to Daniel. She gave off a mysterious vibe, unlike the other gunners on the team.

"7th Laura. When I was still her, I hit every target."

"Now, now, we can talk on the way," said the President, interrupting their talk. "Is everyone ready?"

Many yeses came from the group. He smiled, facing the hatch to the facility.

"Let's see what this man is plotting this time, shall we?"

"How exactly does your Lifebringing work?" asked the President as they walked on the tracks.

"It allows me to summon a past life, and I can have more than one of them on the field at the same time. However, it costs me my consciousness," Arizu replied as she carried Luna on her back.

"What was your first life like?"

"I... don't know. I've never summoned it before, so I haven't inherited its memories."

"It has to be something powerful, since it's your first life. Keep trying, alright?"

"Okay."

"Hey guys," Pointa shouted, his face red from being very drunk, "we're here."

They made it to another platform, the train tracks cutting off after a point in front of them. A ton of guards were standing in corners of the room, so they had to crawl to not get detected. Of course, that was only temporary.
