Saying I was on cloud nine that night would not give justice to my actual feelings. 'Cause it's just too foreign for me to determine.

What's solely clear to me is that I like Dan. And he... likes me, too.

He was just refraining himself the whole time because he considers our state infelicitous, particularly in terms of age. He had been avoiding the urge to divulge his feelings and let it grow any further.

Hindi lang ang sariling kapakanan ang inisip niya. Maging ako rin. Because always, a minor is a minor. Kahit ano pa'ng sabihin ng iba, hindi nararapat ang pakikipagrelasyon ng isang nasa hustong gulang na sa isang menor de edad, let alone have a sexual union.

I observed Dan in clandestine as he strummed his guitar, perching upon the table. Dumagundong ang puso ko nang magtama ang tingin namin. His immediately plummeted to the necklace I'm wearing.

Napahawak ako roon. I intend to wear it daily since he said that it suits me.

"W-What's your favorite subject?" wala sa sarili kong untag, kabado sa mga tinginan niya.

Bakit ba kasi ang tagal nila Kuya magsagot ng quiz?! Si Dan na naman ang unang natapos! Iyan tuloy, kaming dalawa lang ang naririto ngayon!

He smacked the strings of the guitar to terminate those from producing sounds.

"Noong Senior High? Hmm. Applied Economics siguro. Ikaw ba?"

"W-Wala. Lahat ayoko."

Shit. Why am I so anxious? And damn. Why does it seem like he is just cool? Bakit hindi siya kinakabahan kagaya ko? Akala ko ba ay crush niya ako?

Ano 'yon? I don't have an effect upon him?

"H-How about your favorite song?" agap ko when he just bobbed his head at my return.

"Marami, e. Pero siguro... Wonderful Tonight."

I nodded. "M-Mine's Treacherous."

Inihilig niya ang ulo at nangingiting sinuyod ang mukha ko. Self-conscious emanating, I quickly wiped the bullets of sweat forming upon my forehead.

"You're nervous," he pointed out, which caused me to be taken aback.

"W-What?"

"Ninenerbyos ka. Ramdam ko. Bakit?" He pouted his lips cutely.

"I-I'm not nervous!"

Pinagsingkitan niya ako at malakas ang loob na inabante ang mukha. Namilog ang naduduling kong mga mata sa kakarampot na distansya namin! "Are you perhaps... intimidated at me?"

Every articulation his mouth did, a fresh minty-smelling breath was blown straight to my system. Dahil doon ay awtomatikong tumambay ang mata ko sa mga labi niyang nakaawang. They are so pinkish that my fingers almost caressed them!

Good thing my hand took a turn and forcefully pushed his chest!

"Hoy, ang kapal mo, h-ha!" I shut my eyes firmly when he grinned at me mockingly. "Fine! I'm nervous! W-Well, I have the right to! B-Bakit! Ikaw ba... hindi?"

He adjusted his clubmaster glasses before replacing the acoustic instrument in its bag. With his long fingers, he raked his hair, which is parted in the middle, and stood up. Lumingon siya sa bungad ng building nila kung saan palabas na ang tatlo.

"Mas kinabahan ako noong nalaman kong may nanliligaw sa'yo at binabalak mo pang sagutin."

I blinked. Pinanuod ko siyang maglakad patalikod, palayo sa akin at palapit sa tatlo. He stuck his tongue out then winked.
