Charlotte's POV
"Charlotte get up!"
I let out a groan as my eyes flutter open, and I reluctantly sit up and get out of bed, knowing if I dont I'd fall back asleep which would cause me to be late.
I put on some clothes, too tired to try wear something nice for the first day. I brush my hair, and leave it in its natural state because I dont have the energy to do anything special.
Once I've finished getting ready, I head downstairs into the kitchen.
I see my mam, and three of my brothers, Sage, Alex and Clayton in the kitchen when I walk in. Sage is putting food on a plate, Alex and Clayton are sitting at the kitchen table bickering, and mam is sitting on the opposite side if the table drinking tea, looking unbothered.
Over the years, she become immune to my brothers arguing, to the point where she doesn't even acknowledge it anymore.
"Good morning" Mam smiles once I walk in, and Clayton and Alex stop their arguing as I sit on one of the stools by the counter.
"Its not a good morning because I'm awake" I mumble, and Sage snorts. "Thats how I feel every morning" Alex sighs, and Clayton hums in agreement.
Sage sits down beside me, and places a plate of scrambled eggs and toast in front of me.
"I love you the best" I smile, and he smirks while the other two scoff. "Seriously? You're choosing a guy that barely talks over me? The guy who taught you how to tie your shoelaces?" Clayton scoffs again, and I hear Alex snort.
"Well I taught her how to ride a bike. That easily outdoes your shitty shoelaces" Alex says, and I roll my eyes at the fact they're arguing over this.
"You can go hang youself with a pair of shoe-" Clayton mutters, but gets cut off by mam clearing her throat.
"Too far Clayton" Mam sighs. "Yeah Clayton" Alex snickers. Clayton mutters stuff to himself, but stays quiet.
Once I'm finished eating, I place my plate in the dishwasher before sitting back down.
"Nope. Get up. You're going to be late" Mam tells me, and I groan. "I'm going to drop out" I sigh while standing up off the stool I was sitting on.
"Like hell you are. We dont need another Leo" Alex mutters. This caused Sage and Clayton to chuckle, while mam scowls. "Dont talk about your brother like that. Leo is a very smart boy" Mam scolds, and they all snicker.
"Yeah Alex. He's such a smart boy" Clayton jokes, and the other two laugh harder.
"Whats so funny about me say Leo's a smart boy?" Mam asks, and they all just laugh harder while mam sits confused. "Ignore them mam. They think everythings funny" I tell her as I kiss her forehead.
"Have a good day honey" Mam calls out as I walk out of the kitchen and towards the front door. Once outside, I unlock my car before getting inside and heading to school.
Fifteen minutes later, I'm at my school and walking in the front door. I receive some smiles and some hello's as I head down the hallway to my locker, and I simple smile back.
When I get to my locker, I put in the code and it opens. Today was the first day back at school after summer break. I'm now a senior, and physically can't wait to graduate.
We were all given our new locker numbers before summer break, and we were allowed move our books and stuff into our new lockers, so we dont have to bring everything home and back after summer break. Because the school knows that if they tell us to bring our stuff home for summer break, it'll get lost or burned.
