Charlottes POV

Opening my eyes, I see Cameron lying awake beside me on his phone, with Riley lying on top of his chest.

"What time is it?" I mumble. "Nine" Cameron answers.

"Have you been up long?" I ask him. "Not long," He tells me. "Are you lying?" I mumble.

Cameron turns his head, moving over and kissing my forehead. I frown.

"Morning" Riley smiles, sitting up on Cameron's chest. "Morning" I sigh. I sit up, leaning against the headboard of my bed.

"How's your back?" I ask. Surely it can't be comfortable lying on his back.

"Good" He nods. "Pain," Riley says. Cameron scowls. "I used to be able to tell her everything because she couldn't understand. Now I have a little rat on my hands" He mumbles while Riley giggles.

"So you are in pain?" I clarify. "I have painkillers in my car. I'll go get them" He tells me, sitting up and placing Riley on the bed.

"No, I'll get them," I tell him. He chuckles. "Charlotte I'll get them it's fine-"

"Cameron accept the fact you're injured. And when you're injured, I'm going to take care of you. Even if you don't need me to" I tell him, and he nods, dropping his gaze from my eyes to the bed.

"Sorry, I'm just not used to it," He tells me, and I frown. "No don't be sorry," I tell him. I cup his cheek in my hand, forcing his head up to look at me. Leaning in, I peck his lips. "Don't ever be sorry okay?" I mumble.

Cameron takes my hand off his cheek, bringing it to his mouth before kissing my knuckles gently. My heart skips a beat at the simple gesture.

Riley leans up and kisses his cheek. He chuckles while I smile at her, wiping some of her golden blond hair out of her eyes.

We get up and head down to the kitchen. "Good morning" Mam smiles at us as we walk in. "Morning" I smile, going over and kissing her cheek.

"How's the shoulder, Cameron?" Mam asks him. "Okay, thanks" He smiles. "He's in pain. I'm going to grab some painkillers from his car" I tell them, walking over to Cameron.

He smiles sheepishly at me, handing me his car keeps. "Glove compartment," Cameron tells me and I nod.

"Riley, would you like some breakfast?" Mam asks. "Toast. No crust" Riley tells her, shaking her head to emphasize the 'no crust' part.

"Remember your manners," Cameron tells her. "Please" Riley adds. Mam smiles at her, before walking over to grab some bread.

I open the front door, quickly running over to his car in nothing but my socks. Opening the passenger door, I get in.

I freeze when I see blood on the back of the driver's seat from yesterday. Ignoring it, I open the glove compartment.

Seeing a picture frame, I take it out curiously. It's a picture of Cameron and his dad smiling happily. Cameron looks young, maybe fourteen? They both look genuinely happy.

The picture frame is smashed in the middle, with specks of dried blood in the middle. It's been punched. Hard.

I frown slightly, putting the frame back. I spot a white tub, and I grab it, reading the label and seeing painkillers.

Closing the glove compartment, I get out of the car and run back inside.

Walking back into the kitchen, I see Mam sitting at the kitchen table with the triplets. Riley is sitting on Leo's lap, eating her toast happily while he types away on his laptop. Unaware of the fact Alex and Mam are smiling at the two.
