Charlottes POV
I close the front door behind me, before placing my bag down by the door and heading towards the kitchen.
"How was school?" Mam asks the second I step into the kitchen. "Good" I smile as I sit down beside her and Jay at the kitchen table.
"You seem to be in a good mood" Ezra states, probably referring to the fact I've been sulking around for the last ten days.
"Oh yeah, I um...had a good day," I say, praying they don't notice my red face.
Ezra is standing beside Julian who seems to be making a sandwich, while Clayton and Harriet are sitting at the kitchen stools.
Harriet had books sprawled out on the kitchen island, and headphones in so she seemed to be unable to hear anything.
"What's Harriet doing?" I ask Clayton.
"She's got some big test on Monday. She's quite stressed" Clayton chuckles as he rubs her back soothingly.
Harriet is in her final year of college. She's studying to be an astronomer, someone who studies space.
Although I don't understand how she's getting any studying done since I can hear the music from her headphones from here.
"Mam, can I go out tonight?" I ask, and she looks up from her book to look at me. Mam doesn't give a shit whether I go out or not, so when I ask her, I'm basically just telling her.
"Yeah sure," Mam says, and I nod while she takes a sip of her tea.
"Are you going out with Jasmine?" Mam asks me, and I shake my head nervously. Mam won't care that I'm going on a date, my brothers however...
"No um...I'm going out with my friend Cameron" I tell her, and she nods before turning back to her book.
"That sounds like a guy's name," Jay says, and I roll my eyes. "That's because it is, you dumbass," I tell him.
"And is this little hang-out with your friend a date?" Ezra asks, and I mentally prepare myself. "Mabey" I shrug.
"No," Jay says, and I roll my eyes again.
"Mam tell her she's not allowed," Clayton says, and I glare at him before standing up. "Leave your sister alone. You all were doing the same at her age" Mam scoffs, and I grin as I make my way to leave the kitchen.
"What your sister does is none of your concern" Mam adds, and I flip them all off before leaving the kitchen.
I hear footsteps behind me, so I walk faster. Once I get to my room, I step in and close the door behind me, but a foot stops it from closing properly.
Oh great.
The three of them walk into my room while I just sit down on my bed.
"Get out," I tell them, but they don't seem to even register what I said. "Who's the boy?" Jay asks, and I groan.
"A friend" I answer.
"How long have you known him?" Ezra asks, and I shrug. "I don't know, like..four months" I mumble.
"Ooo, are we giving out to Charlotte?" Leo suddenly says, and I see him and Alex walk into my room.
Oh great.
"Don't you all have jobs?" I ask.
"What are we giving out to her for?" Alex asks as he leans against my wall.
"She's going on a date" Clayton mutters. "Oh fuck no" Alex scowls. "You're too young," Leo tells me, and I scoff.
"Dating is the worst thing ever, believe me," Clayton tells me, and I roll my eyes. "The three of you are dating people" I remind them.
