Charlotte's POV
I woke up and immediately noticed the 'happy birthday' banner that was stuck to my ceiling right above my head.
How the fuck did they put that up without me waking up?
I quickly shower, before changing into some grey sweatpants and a white tank top. After opening my curtains, I exit my room and head downstairs.
As I walk into the kitchen, I notice all my brothers are there and dread fills me as I quickly cover my ears.
They stare at me confused, and I release a sigh of relief as I remove my hands from my ears after realizing they had no plan to deafen me.
But that was a mistake.
And I realised that the second their confused looks turn into grins, I fell right into their trap.
"Happy birthday" They all shout at the exact same time, and I wince at the sound.
They all start to stand up, and I take a step back.
Oh no.
"Fuck off" I warn them as they begin to take steps towards me.
Growing up with seven brothers, birthday bashes were something they saw as mandatory. Despite the fact, they are all adults.
They all suddenly charge towards me, and I scream before turning and running for the stairs. But I wasn't fast enough and soon my arms were being punched from all over as I shield my face, despite knowing they'd never hit me there.
After thirty seconds, they all retreated back into the kitchen while laughing, leaving me standing in the foyer in defeat from my failed escape.
I walk into the kitchen again rubbing my arms, and I then notice mam, Julian and Casey sitting on the stools by the counter.
"Mam I just got punched..." I begin. "Julian, what's eighteen multiplied by seven?" I ask him, and he thinks for a second before saying "One hundred and twenty-six".
I swear he's like a human calculator.
"I got punched one hundred and twenty-six times" I groan, and she simply chuckles while walking over to me.
"You're fine," She tells me, and I roll my eyes before she wraps her arms around me. "Happy birthday sweetie," She says, and I smile as she pulls away.
Julian and Casey then wish me a happy birthday, and I smile while walking over to the fridge to grab a bottle of water.
I close the fridge, and I'm suddenly tackled into a hug causing me to stumble forward and hold onto the countertop.
Although I couldn't see them, I had a feeling who I was being hugged by.
"You're an adult now," Quinn says, and they pull away, allowing me to turn around and see Quinn and Harriet standing there with a grin.
"You will always be my baby," Mam says, and I groan. "Please stop mam" I mumble, and she smiles.
I step forward and lean forward against the island in our kitchen. I then slid my bottle over to Julian because I couldn't be bothered to open it.
He rolls his eyes before opening the bottle, then handing it to me and I shoot him a smile.
I feel a light tap on my back, and I turn around and see Becca and Alora standing there. "Happy birthday," They both say, and Alora hands me a blue envelope while Becca hands me a small, lilac box.
"Thank you" I smile and place the box on the counter. They watch as I open the envelope, and take out a handmade card. On the front, it has 'happy birthday' written in bubble writing, with green and blue love hearts drawn on the front.
