I sit at home later, sulking. I know the whole April Fools thing happened a month ago, but it still hurts. I mean, I liked Ben for 3 straight years-and then all my dreams were crushed. I'm still hurt and I don't know what to do to make it better.

I look at my phone and unlock it, staring off into space. I suddenly remember what happened at school today with that cute stranger. I'm contemplating whether I should text him when I get a notification from Facebook.

'Christopher Holloway sent you a friend request,' it says.

I open it and go through his profile for a few minutes. Finally, I accept his friend request. Almost instantly, I get a message from him.

Hey sorry about the whole thing at school today. I probably shouldn't have sprung that on you, it reads.

It's okay, I reply.

My name is Christopher btw. I guess I forgot the mention that earlier.

I decide that I like talking to him. Already, I'm feeling better. But I can't let him get too close. After the whole Ben thing, I can barely trust my best friend.
