Chapter 10

So I had detention with McGonnagal. Not that bad. She just had me clean off the boards and clean off the books. while she did paperwork. "Alright Remus, I think you've learned your lesson. You may go." She says
"Thank you" I say a little to gratefully.
I rush off to bed. This will be the first of many detentions for us.

In the morning, A third year knocks all the books out of my hands. I pull out my wand and use a basic D.A.D.A move. I'm knocked off my feet "Ha." He laughed
I pick up my books and walk away. The teachers notice him and I. I don't look to upset but not very happy. "10 points from Slytherin, Mr. Jones, You also have a detention in my office tonight."A teacher says to him
"Yes, Professor." He says through his
teeth
"Say sorry." She says
"Sorry." The kid says
the teacher looks satisfied. and Walks away. He gets up and walks away and growls bitterly.
I get up and walk away happy. I make it to potions just on time. Potions is great. I walk to Defense against the dark arts and when I get in there professor is waiting and we all arrive in a short amount of time. "Ah today children, Were going to be practicing dueling. The rules are simple. 1: Do not hurt opponent just disarm only 4th year we will be able to but if on purpose a detention but that's for fourth years only. I will post the dueling partners in a second and we will do this one pair at a time and the last two winners in the duels will duel. And trust me this will go quick for the first time."

The rest of the day was great. We had dinner and we went back to the dorms. Sirius says "How do you think she won the duels."
"I don't know Luck?" Peter says unsure of it
"I don't think it was luck." I say "She was using 2nd and 3rd year spells and she was mastering them perfectly. I don't think it was luck."
"Whatever." Sirius says "I'm gonna study to beat her at the next duels."
We were still in the common room. She heard everything. "Thank you Remus, For saying nice things about me, And Sirius I have been studying the older years books because the professors let me." She says "And I look forward to the day when you pick up a book and study spells." She says
Lily's friends laugh. But the boys don't, "You want to have our own little duel right now, Evans." He says
She just walks away and he gets so mad he uses a spell to knock her out cold. "Stand back I'm a prefect." A boy says
He takes Lily to the hospital wing. the girl takes Sirius to a professor.
I go change into my pajamas and bathe. Sirius is back. "What's the punishment?" James asked
"A weeks worth of detention, and like 10 points from Gryffindor." He says
"Well, Atleast it's not 50 or more. And I'm sorry dude." James says "Don't hate me but I still think she's beautiful." He says
"Let's go to bed." I say
We all hopped into our beds and went to sleep.
