Mondo was almost surprised at how Kiyo sprinted after her brother, the tiny fire cat following the two of them. Mondo was surprised at the odd sense of comfort he felt around the two. It was strange. They were both so different from him, and he should not be feeling that way around someone that he tried to murder and his sister.

He quickly shook those thoughts off; Kiyo did honestly have a point so he headed ahead catching up with the two of them. He was extra careful not to touch the fire-cat when he caught up to Kiyo and then eventually Taka. Taka smiled "Hey cuti—" he was cut off by Mondo. "I am not cute! You know this!" a small blush forming on his cheeks. Mondo being a so-called 'tough guy' took genuine offence to that. "Sure," Taka said a small eye roll.

Mondo, although upset stopped arguing, it'd be a lost cause. "Fine, I'm cute," he said not believing it.

"Yay! You admit it! See that's so much easier than denial!"

"Yeah," he said. Although he didn't believe that he was cute, Taka did have a point, being honest would be a lot easier than putting on a tough façade. He understood that it wasn't safe to drop it with everyone but he put up this act even with Daiya. Maybe just maybe it wouldn't hurt to let it down sometimes. He wasn't sure though. It seemed so uneasy given all his planning, but it was really like a gaping head wound keeping it up.

He couldn't think about that for long though because they soon arrived for tea. He was almost panicked because he knew what was coming next, but he supposed it needed to be done. He knew Taka was going to pass out; maybe even vomit, and he wasn't sure how to react to that though. I mean, it was good Kiyo found some form of solution to Taka's problem or a part of it. He couldn't help but wonder if Taka actually ever wanted powers? Was he happy the way he was? Mondo wouldn't know unless he asked. He doubted that once Taka was sane he would treat the man who almost murdered him the same.

He wasn't sure how the king would react, the king had spared a few assassins that he knew for a fact...but he wondered if he, one who killed solely for survival desvered mercy. He only cared about life so Daiya wouldn't have to deal with his little brother's death.

He wondered if that was a miserable reason to hold on to life, but he knew not to ask. He bit his lip as he arrived, almost to stop himself from speaking. Once Kiyotaka sat down he patted the seat next to him. The dining room was filled to the brim with armour, there were red banners lined with gold-ish yellow lining near the bottom. The castle was nice, which was kinda a, 'no duh, butthead' moment, but he didn't know what he was expecting from the castle. He probably never thought he'd ever see it so he had no view of it.

Kiyotaka pulled out his chair and made a lady's first joke, Mondo responded to this by gently pushing him, and acting as if his fragile ego and even more fragile masculinity weren't hurt by that. I mean it wasn't that bad, given the fact that this was not normal circumstances.

Kiyo rolled her eyes. "I'm the only chick here, why can't you pull out my chair?" she asked as she arrived.

"Because— uh— you're annoying!" he was so blunt with saying that and Kiyo just rolled xe's eyes. Mondo tried to see what she was looking at on the ceiling but saw nothing new. "What are you looking at? I don't see it is it some magic thing?"

Kiyo looked at him, almost confused and mumbled, "interesting" although, Mondo couldn't hear it. "No, I'm rolling my eyes."

Mondo stared, dumbfounded, almost as if Kiyo'd said the dumbest shit the assassin had ever heard. "B-But rolling your eyes is this," Mondo stammered out then quite literally rolled his eyes.

Kiyo genuinely wondered if this guy ever heard of a figure of speech. To answer that question, he had, he just always took them literally. Sometimes that helped him get the meaning like "The shit has hit the fan" and other times it confused him even more such as "don't wear your heart on your sleeve."

"No, it's not, it's a figure of speech rolling your eyes is pretty much just looking up," Kiyo tried to explain.

"Why would someone say rolling though?"

"I don't know, I didn't come up with it," Kiyo answered.

"I agree with Mo—" Kiyotaka started to say before Kiyo cut him off, "No you don't."

"Why not?" Kiyotaka inquired

"Because I say so"

"But I'm the oldest"

"You're also the dumbest, so calm down."

Mondo just kinda...stared while they bickered. There was a moment of silence between them all, and Mondo interrupted that with. "How about we have our tea now?" if Taka was going to be upset about the attempted murder he just wanted to get this over with.

"Ah, yes, I forgot about that, I am sorry," she said; sitting down.

She took a sip of her tea smiling. "So, Oowada, would you like to talk?"

"No," Mondo replied, stern-faced.

"I'd like to talk," Kiyotaka said.

Kiyo smiled, "Go ahead."

Kiyotaka started talking about constellations, which Mondo barely understood a word he was saying but the way he moved his hands while talking and seemed into it like he just understood and wanted others to, it fascinated Mondo. It was like you couldn't take your eyes off of him, which was mostly true. He seemed generally excited.

Mondo would ask questions (some that he already knew the answers to) just to hear him talk more and this went on for a while and Mondo seemed genuinely interested in all of this. Not motorcycle type interested, but interested. Eventually, Kiyotaka ran out of things to say and realized he'd been neglecting his tea. Mondo had been too, Kiyotaka smiled and took a few sips, eventually passing out right on the table.

Even though Momdo knew this was going to happen he couldn't help but flinch and wait for the king to wake up.
