Tobio had started to get annoyed with the guy. What was his deal? He had made it clear since they met that he didn't want company!
Besides, having a companion would only hold him back, and make them both targets.
Why did I run away?

"Heyyyy! Don't ignore me!"
The ginger whined.
"Fuck off and go find another traveler to bother!"
His avatar turned around, facing that of the other guy. They stared at each other for a moment.
Neither noticed the roots of the trees getting closer, until one of them wrapped itself around the Ginger's ankle. He kicked it off, freeing his leg.

Stare
Fight
HUH?!
"Yoohoo! Tobio-Chan~"
Oh fuck-
"You shouldn't be running away from your father like that!"
The flowers somehow echoed.
"The what-"

Tobio started running.
"Hey, WAIT!"
"You can run, Tobio, but you can't hide~"
He ran.
He ran, and ran, until he was out of stamina and energy.
"No, no, no, no, no, no, no! Not now!"
His avatar started moving again. He looked up.
The ginger was running with him, holding his hand.

Silence.
"You're King Oikawa's son?!"
He winced. Some things never change, do they?
"Damn, your username really lies, huh?"
"Leave my username out of it!"
Silence.
Laughter.
"So, your highness... Will you accept my friend request now?"
"I'm getting hunted by the main villain of the game! Why do you still want to be my friend?"
"You seem cool, honestly. Also, I'm kinda running away too...?"
Silence.
"I uh... I come from Karasuno's kingdom and uh... the king kinda-sorta thinks I stole some of his gold..."
Shoyo explained. Tobio raised an eyebrow. "Did you?"
"Piece of cake!"
Shoyo showed him the inside of his bag.
"DUDE! How do you run so fast with all this weight?!" Tobio demanded.
Someone tapped his shoulder. He turned around, fear evident in his eyes.
"Keep it down." Miwa whispered. He nodded and apologized.
"-ss it's because of my superhuman strength!"
Shoyo sounded excited.
"Oh."
Silence.
"Either way, thank you for saving me."
"Sure thing, bro! Us runaways must stick together!"
Tobio smiled.
