When they reached her parents house, Jisoo was so nervous that her hands were sweating Taehyung parked the car and glanced at her
"Are you ready?"
"Yes, yes!" her nervousness was palpable
Taehyung smiled and held her face with both hands, making her look into his eyes
"Everything is going to be fine They are your parents And I'm here for you" He glued their lips in a soft and gentle kiss
"Thank you" she said as she broke the kiss and opened her eyes
The next few moments were of pure joy for Jisoo While she hugged and cried with her parents, Taehyung stood a little further away, leaning against the car, just watching
"Mom, dad, I need to introduce you to my boyfriend Please, treat him well! He's such a nice guy" Jisoo warned while signaling Taehyung to go to them
"This is Taehyung and they are Ji-Hoo and Ha-Joon
"Nice to meet you, Mr. and Mrs. Kim" Taehyung said politely
"It's a pleasure to have you here, Taehyung! Come on in, the lunch is ready!" Jisoo's Mom Ji-hoon said happily
Mr.Kim was just watching Taehyung from head to toe with an intimidating glance
When everybody was seated around the table to have lunch together, Mrs.kim started the interview
"So, how did you meet?"
"During a business dinner" Jisoo said firmly That story should match the one she told to Taehyung's family
"Oh, nice! So you two work at the same company?"
Jisoo knew that moment would come, she could not hide that Taehyung was, in fact, her boss When she opened her mouth to speak, Taehyung was faster
"Yes, Mrs.kim Actually, I'm Jisoo's boss"
Mrs.kim and Mr.Kim stopped eating and they stared at Taehyung,Jisoo did the same
"Oh, it means you... you have a great position in the company" Mrs.kim said awkwardly "And you can call me Mom, please"
"Mom..." Jisoo sighed
"Absolutely I'm the CEO of Kim's Industries" Taehyung stated proudly
Mrs.kim gasped and Jisoo helped her Taehyung took a sip of his wine calmly while Mr.Kim
kept his eyes on him
When everyone seemed to recover from the momentary fright, Mr.Kim finally asked
"What are your intentions with my
daughter, Mr.Kim?"
"Jisoo and I have been working together for a while, we went through a lot of situations together and we fell in love My intention is to spend the rest of my life with her and, for that, we will get married"
"Oh my God! Are you engaged?" Mrs.kim exclaimed while she looked at her daughter
Jisoo nodded in affirmation, feeling her eyes blurred by tears "Dad..." she glanced at him "Please, say something"
"Let's have a talk outside" Mr.Kim said to Jisoo
"Excuse us for a momentיי
Mr.Kim got up with a little difficulty and Jisoo followed him
"Taehyung, I'm sorry, but we didn't expect it
Jisoo had never mentioned she had a boyfriend and now engaged"
"I understand, Mrs.kim But we love each other and I want to take care of her as much as she takes care of her family.
"Oh Gosh! Please, make her happy! She deserves it!"
"I'll do my best" Taehyung said friendly
"Thank you for having me The dish was delicious!"
"You don't need to thank me! You're a family now!" Mrs.kim got up, turned around the table and hugged him sideways His phone rang at that moment and he looked at the screen
"I need to answer this" he just said
"Of course, I'm sorry" Mrs.kim walked away from him and started to clear the table
Taehyung went to the car to pick up the phone When he came back to the house, Jisoo and her father were seated in the living room Taehyung sat next to his fiancée
"I'm sorry for my behavior, Kim I'm just a father, when you become one, you will understand" Mr.Kim apologized briefly "I talked to my daughter and she said you two have everything planned already So who am I to disagree? If she's happy, I'm happy" Jisoo grinned and Taehyung nodded
"Thank you for your consent, Mr.Kim It's very important for us to have our families together"
"Just make my daughter happy And respect her"
Mrs.kim came into the room with a tray of
coffee for everyone
"Jisoo told me about your medical problem, Mr.Kim How are you feeling?"
"These doctors want to fill me with medicine unnecessarily They just want to make money"
"Dad!" Jisoo scolded
"I agree with you The pharmaceutical industry influences medical decisions too much today" Taehyung pointed
"You see? You know what I mean!"
"So I trust only one doctor, who has been in my family for years He is a very responsible, professional and I fund part of his researches" Taehyung stopped to take a sip of coffee "I would like to know if Dr.Lawrence could come over to take a look on you"
Jisoo glanced at Taehyung unbelieved She would never think Taehyung was planning something like that
"I believe that Jisoo and Mrs.kim would be more relieved with a trusted doctor What do you think?" Taehyung asked
"I don't think it's necessary, but if Jisoo would feel more relieved, I can do it" Mr.kim replied hesitantly
"Thank you, dad!" Jisoo almost screamed with excitement She got up and hugged Mr.kim,Mrs.kim was watching, with tears in her eyes
Taehyung smiled and wrapped an arm around Jisoo's waist when she sat down next to him
"Well, now I have a gift for my fiancée I should wait until the wedding day but I'd like to share this moment with you two, so I think this is the perfect time"
"Taehyung, what are you talking about?" Jisoo was apprehensive
"This is my wedding gift for you, love"
Taehyung handed her a folder with some sheets Jisoo opened it and started reading The more she read, the more her eyes widened
"You're kidding, right?" she lifted her eyes to stare at him petrified
"What is it, Jisoo? For God's sake, tell us!" Mrs.kim was impatient
"Taehyung, that's... that's unbelievable!" Jisoo stared at the papers again
"It's all yours, love" Taehyung had a smile on
Jisoo looked at her parents with tears in her eyes and said "Taehyung gave me two restaurants One in Daegu and another one in Seoul"
