David Rossi x Reader

Walking into the bureau I head up to my husbands office to update him on a case only to find him stood there hugging some woman. Standing there speechless I can't believe what I'm seeing and slowly back out of the room before heading silently down to my desk. Who the hell was that? And more importantly why the hell was Dave hugging her? I'm not typically a jealous person but for a while now Dave had been acting weird and I guess I know why now. Looking down at my rings I start panicking and without thinking rip them off my finger and shove them in my desk drawer trying not to cry.

"Morning y/n, did you have a good weekend?" Spencer asks as he walks in and I turn to him with a small smile and nod.

"It was alright Spence, how was your weekend? You were heading to the doctor who convention with Penny weren't you?" I ask him and he grins before he starts rambling on about it. Doctor who isn't really my thing but if it means seeing Spencer looking like a kid on Christmas I'd happily listen to his tirades.

"And Penny even bought me the fourth doctors scarf!" He finishes with a grin and I chuckle.

"Damn kid, sounds like a fun weekend. You two might just have to drag me with you next time." I joke and his face lights up at the prospect. What did I just get myself into?

"Really? You would come with us?" He asks and I sigh but nod.

"Yeah, I don't see why not Spence." I tell him as I get up to make myself a cup of coffee and he pulls me into a tight hug muttering thank you over and over again. Cursing his mother I hold him close to me until he calms down. I know that she has schizophrenia and it limited what she could do with him but me agreeing to go to a stupid convention with him shouldn't provoke this reaction. "Okay Spence, how about we go get coffee and then we can talk about it more." I suggest as he pulls away and he nods before dragging me into the break room. Looking up at Dave's office I can see the two of them in there still and fight the urge to go up there again.

"Who's that with Dave, y/n?" Aaron asks when he steps in and I glare at him.

"I don't bloody know okay. I went up to talk to him when I got in and there he was hugging a young woman that I have never seen before!" I tell him and he sighs but brings me into a hug and I bury my head in his chest. Hearing someone clear their throat in the doorway I turn to see Dave stood there. Pulling away from Aaron, I take the offered cup of coffee from a still grinning Spencer and head back to my desk.

"I thought you were going to come up and see me when you got in." Dave says from behind me and I turned to him with a glare.

"Oh, I did but you seemed rather wrapped up with something." I tell him before my phone pinged with a message from the director. "I've got to go, I have a meeting with the director." I explain as he raises his eyebrow at me.

"Come to my office when you're out of your meeting, I need to talk to you." He says taking my hand and it's then I remember that I took my rings off. His thumb rubs oer the bare skin and he sighs as his head falls. "You freaked out seeing Joy and took your rings off?" He asks quietly and I sigh.

"Dave, what do you expect when I come in to see my husband hugging a random woman?" I ask him and he nods after a moment. Quickly grabbing my rings out of the drawer I slip them on and take hold of Dave's cheeks. "I love you David Rossi and we will be talking about this but I really need to go meet the director." I tell him before heading up to the directors office.

"Ah y/n there you are, I was going to come looking for you." Tom says with a chuckle and I shake my head fondly.

"Sorry, I was held up talking to Dave." I apologise and he just waves it off. "What was it you needed to see me about?"
