Y/n's POV

Staring at Erin with wide eyes I try to process what she had just asked of me and shake my head as I clear my throat. "No. There is no way in hell that I'm even going to contemplate this! I'm sorry Erin but I downright refuse to have anything to do with this case and there is little that you can say or do that will make me change my mind!" I exclaim as I clench my jaw making her groan as she comes over to where I'm sitting and sits on my lap with a small smile.

"I know that you don't have the best history with the team but please sweetheart, you are the only person I can think of that has experience like yours and can help solve this. Besides, you might finally get some closure from your past. I promise that if you do this for me I will make it up to you in any way that I can." Erin promises with a slightly naughty smirk on her face making me chuckle slightly as I stroke her side lightly.

"Ugh, fine Erin I give up. I'll work the stupid case but I swear to god you are going to have a lot of making up to do and one of those fancy dinners won't be enough." I relent because I know that it must be bad if Erin is asking me to do this. I haven't worked with the team for the last seven years because of Aaron fucking Hotchner and Emily Prentiss which Erin knows so it must me important for her to even think about asking me.

"Oh, I have plenty of ideas for how I can make it up to you darling and I promise that I will make good on what I promise." Erin promises as she leans in to kiss me making me chuckle as I hold her closer to me and she leans against me more with a smile before pulling back to look at me while pushing my hair out of my face. "But for tonight lets go to bed and get some rest. We've got a long few days ahead of us." She says and I nod as I follow her through the house to our shared bedroom and get ready for the night as well as preparing my go bag for the next day. Getting into bed I smile when Erin rests her head on my shoulder and play with her hair until her breathing evens out making me look down at her with a smile when I see that she's asleep but sigh as I stare up at the ceiling as sleep evades me. I was so against this case for many reasons. For one I would have to work with my ex, Emily Prentiss, as well as the man that had broken every ounce of my trust years ago, Aaron Hotchner. Not to mention I was going to be away from Erin for god knows how long and that was something that I don't like the thought of. I've grown comfortable with our routine and now that it's about to change, even for a short period of time, I want nothing more than to resist it.

I must have fallen asleep at some point during the early hours of the morning because I'm woken up by Erin shaking me lightly. "Y/n you have to get up. It's time to get ready for work and you more so have a busy day today." She whispers before kissing me softly and I slowly open my eyes as I kiss her back until she pulls back with a knowing look making me chuckle slightly. Reluctantly getting up I carry out my normal morning routine after slipping into one of my suits before heading downstairs to grab some coffee before we both leave in our separate cars. Pulling up at FBI building I get out of the car and make my way up to the BAU floor and as I step out of the elevator Erin steps out of Aaron's office and makes her way over to me. "I see you found your way to the floor okay then Agent y/l/n." She says with a small smirk that only I notice and I have to fight off my amusement at my girlfriends antics which only makes her smirk grow as amusement and a hint of desire dance through her eyes.

"Yes ma'am. How could I ever forget the way to the place I worked at for 15 years? This place was like a second home to me." I drawl out, smirking to myself as she shivers slightly before I send a glare to the man in front of me. "Anyway enough about me and onto the case that you roped me into doing." I say and she nods as she turns to Aaron pointedly making him nod in return.

"Well Agent y/l/n if you'll follow me I'll fill you in." Aaron says and leads me away from Erin making me brush our hands together lightly as I pass her. "You know it's been too long y/n. It's good to see you again." He tells me and I scoff slightly at that making him sigh as he looks at me apologetically but I'm quick to shake my head at him.
