Encanto: A New Start

New Journey

"You're leaving??" Mirabel exclaimed letting out magical dust slightly explode out of her. Just like Isabella does when she peddles. The two other sisters looked surprised "Whoa, I didn't know that could happen. Sorry"

"Yes, I know it's gonna be hard because we've never been apart and I've never been out of Encanto. I have these new powers that I don't understand. Now I feel out of place in the family" Luisa says

"Luisa you will never be out of place in the family. We all have different gifts" Isabella spoke up

"Thank you and I know, it's just intriguing that I discovered I have more than my strength and I want to explore it" Luisa said

"We understand" Isabella said

"And we support you" Mirabel said

Luisa went around the table and hugged her sisters "You're the best sisters ever" she said

"Let's go to sleep, we have little time to spend together" Isabella said

They went to their respective rooms and tried to sleep but Mirabel couldn't. She kept staring at her sisters butterflies. They were both scared of what's to come. Their butterflies, including Maribels were blue with a mix of purple, they were sad and scared.

"Don't worry mariposa, Luisa won't be gone forever" Pedro told her

"But what if she is abuelo? What if she decides to stay with her birth parents?" Mirabel asked

"Whatever happens Mirabel, it doesn't mean you'll lose her. You have to support her no matter what. It's her life and her happiness. Though I don't think she'll leave for good, she has Natalia after all" Pedro said

Mirabel sighed in relief "Maybe you're right"

"Get some sleep sweetheart, you need it" Pedro said and Mirabel drifted off to sleep

Two days passed and Luisa asked Maui and Moana to meet her in the forest close to casita.

"Hey" they greeted

"Hi, I've asked you here because I decided to go with you" Luisa said

Moana's face beamed with happiness "really? That's makes us so happy"

"I want to learn about this new power and what else I can do with it. I know you two can help me with it" Luisa said

"We can do that" Maui said

"However, this doesn't mean I want to build a relationship with you. I have a family here and as soon as we're done, I'm coming back home. This is where I belong" Luisa stated

They looked a bit sad but still nodded understandably "We will respect whatever you decide Luisa" Moana said

"Meet me in an hour in front of casita, I have to tell the family and pack my things" She said

An hour later, Luisa had packed the necessities and the family have been told. They were all in the front going to say goodbye, even Natalia was there "We just started our own journey together. I am going to miss you" Natalia said

"I know, me too. I'll be back before you know it and we can start again. I'll come back to you, promise" Luisa said looking down sweetly at her girlfriend

"You better, I will be waiting for you" Natalia said giving her a quick peck on the lips. They smiled

Luisa turned to her cousins, aunt and uncle "I'll miss you Tia Pepa and Tio Felix" they smiled and hugged her

"Us too" Antonio and Dolores said before hugging her

Luisa turned to Camilo "Don't let others tell you who to be, just be yourself" she said then Camilo shifted into Camila and smiled wider than before "That's better" they giggled

Luisa approached her sisters, they didn't say anything just hugged. "I love you guys, take care of each other" they nodded with tears in their eyes

The tiles of casita moves "Abuelo says he loves you and to come back soon" Mirabel said

"Love you too abuelo" Luisa said looking at the shaking tiles

"He also wanted me to give you a gift while you're away" Mirabel said backing away and sprinkling magic dust all around her "It will let you keep your strength while you're away" Luisa and the rest of the family were surprised.

"Thank you" Luisa said

"Mirabel, we didn't know you could do that" Alma said, Mirabel chuckled

"We did" Luisa and Isabelle said in unison before giggling

She finally got to her parents and grandma "Be careful out there mi cielo" said Alma

"I will abuela, I promise" the girl said

"We don't like that you're leaving us" Julieta said

"But we understand that you have to follow your heart mija" Agustin added

"You will always be my parents, nothing is going to change that. I just want to learn more about myself. I know you want the best for me and I'm thankful for that. You raised me, you did great. You are the best parents I could've asked for. I love you mamá, I love you papi" she said, they teared up and went for a hug

"It's time to go" Maui says

"Yes, the tide is low so we won't have any trouble for now" Moana said

The family group hugged, Maui turned into a hawk and said "Climb on my back" Luisa did was told and Moana sat behind

"Take it easy Maui, this is her first flight" Moana warned

They boosted up in the air and took off. Luisa looked back as the Encanto kept getting smaller. Maui shifted slightly, Luisa got nervous and held on to him. The journey forward was all ocean. It was a beautiful blue, Luisa was amazed at the view. A few hours later, she saw a few waves circling in a weird angle.

"We're almost there" Moana told her "those waves keep ships off the course of Te Fiti"
Luisa looked down again and saw a couple of water tornadoes forming a curved line "Those are for ships who manage to pass the waves" Moana explained.

Finally after passing some clouds, Luisa saw the most beautiful island she's ever seen. It was a great island in the form of a sleeping woman. Maui made a hawking sound and the island started to rise. Luisa's jaw dropped, she saw it come alive and smile at them. Maui landed in the ground with the island watching them.

"Luisa, this is Te Fiti, the great goddess of islands" Maui said as he kneeled before her followed by Moana. She felt she should do the same out of respect so she did. Te Fiti lifted her up at eye level and bowed her head.

"It's an honor to be here" Luisa said

"Welcome to our home" Moana said being lifted by the sea "let the lessons begin"
