"Where are the boys?" Robin asked as I wandered back into scoops ahoy

"I left them ogling at the moms doing jazzercise upstairs" I scoffed

"God why are boys so disgusting" she gagged

"Heaven knows. Any progress?" I sighed

"Surprisingly, yes! 'A trip to China sounds nice if you tread lightly'" she repeated proudly

"Did you translate the whole thing?" I asked in disbelief receiving a nod of confirmation

"No shit! You really are a genius aren't you" I complimented her nudging her shoulder playfully

"I try my best" she shrugged modestly

Just then, there was a knock at the back door.

"That'll be the new shipment" Robin stated as she strode towards the door.

"I'll help" I chirped tailing after her.

She opened the door and sure enough a delivery guy was waiting with several boxes and some forms for Robin to sign.

She briefly signed them with a 'thanks' as she watched the man walk away, but she seemed to notice something...

She stood out in the hallway watching him walk away as she muttered the words "silver cat"

"What?" I asked confused as to what she meant.

"Lynx deliveries... Silver cat" she turned to me

"The code..." realisation struck me

"C'mon" Robin ushered grabbing my hand and pulling me into the centre of the mall, running straight through dustin and Steve.

She pulled me up onto a bench so we could get a good view of all the shops.

"What are we looking for?" I asked whipping my head around to observe my surroundings, trying to ignore the funny feeling in my stomach that formed in my stomach when Robin held my hand.

"A trip to China sounds nice" Robin repeated the code

"A trip to China sounds nice" Robin spoke confidently locking eyes with 'the imperial panda' restaurant

"If you tread lightly" Robin Read from her notepad

We both craned our necks to see if anything we saw would fit with the code.

"If you tread lightly!" I stifled a shout as I pointed to 'kaufman shoes' store on the floor above

"When Blue and yellow meet in the west" I repeated from memory

"When Blue meets Yellow in the west!" Robin uttered gesturing towards the hands of the clock on the wall.

We shared a look of achievement before Steve interrupted

"Robin. Heather. What are you doing?"

"We cracked it" Robin said stunned

"Cracked what?" Steve asked dumbfounded

"We cracked the code" I smiled in disbelief

-

Me and Robin explained the code to dustin and Steve back at scoops ahoy and decided to scope out the area at the meeting time to investigate.

We determined that the 'Blue meets Yellow in the west' of the clock referred to 9:45 and so by 9:30, me, Robin, Steve and dustin were decked out in our raincoats ready to scope out the loading Dock from the roof.

"You still got those binoculars?" I asked dustin placing the hood up on my coat

"Yep, and my walkie if needed" Dustin assured patting his backpack

"Let's go then!" I hurried as we headed for the roof

It was pouring with rain once we reached the roof and we tried to stay low behind the ledge to avoid detection.

"Okay... what exactly are we looking for?" Steve asked over the rain

"Look for imperial panda and kaufman shoes" Robin instructed

"Do you see anything?" I asked dustin Leaning over Robin and Steve

"They're with that whistling guy ten o'clock!" Dustin confirmed

"What do you thinks in there?" Steve asked curiously

"Guns, bombs?" Dustin replied

"Chemical weapons?" Robin suggested

"Whatever it is, they're armed to the teeth" Dustin stated

"So it's definitely not Chinese food and poorly made shoes then?" I asked sarcastically

"its gotta be something dangerous" Dustin affirmed

"Great. That's great" Steve deadpanned

"Hey. What's in there?" Robin asked as the doors to a storage room were opened allowing the delivery guy to place the boxes inside.

"It's just more boxes" Dustin shouted

"Let me check it out" Steve interfered grabbing the binoculars

"No I'm still looking" Dustin wrestled for the binoculars with Steve

"Lemme see it" Steve whined

"Hang on!" Dustin snapped before banging the binoculars against the side of the ledge resulting in a very loud and noticeable thud.

"Duck!" Dustin shouted as we all instinctively shrunk below the ledge, trying our best to stay out of site.

I looked over to see Robin clutching Steve's hand next to me before they noticed their actions and sheepishly let go.

Oh.

I know this is a very serious and potentially life-threatening situation, but it wasn't the possibility of death that made my heart beat lose its rhythm. I couldn't understand why it made me so upset I mean, there's so much more I should be worrying about right now but for a second, the adrenaline-fuelled panic stopped, and so did my heart.

Before I had time to dwell on the situation any longer, dustin was leading us off of the roof to escape the incoming search party of evil Russians.

As we returned to the mall we breathed a collective sigh of relief as Robin aptly said,

"Well, I think we found your Russians"
