y/n was sobbing as the villagers banged on the door loudly. their father tried his best to keep it shut. y/n could hear the chants outside and could see their torches through the windows.

"burn the witch!"

it was all overwhelming for y/n. their mother stood by their side trying to comfort them. ever since word got through that y/n had unique and dangerous powers, the whole town had turned their back on the l/ns. they all had called y/n a witch.

"y/n, you have to leave," m/n said quickly. the banging on the door was getting harder, f/n couldn't hold it any longer.

"no, i can't leave you and pa," y/n shook their head. their eyes were flickering red as they tried to not make the whole house explode, knowing that it would make the situation worse.

m/n shoves a map into their hands, "i know a place where you can go, encanto, you'll be safe there. your father and i were friends with a man named felix madrigal, you need to find him."

"i'm not leaving you!"

"you have to go, y/n."

they looked back at the front, the villagers were almost getting through. they look away as m/n wipes y/n's tears, "we're gonna be fine. we love you, now go."

she gently pushes them over to the back door. y/n hesitantly walked outside with the map. they look behind them and saw that the door was busted open. m/n and f/n smiled sadly at them, y/n almost bursted into tears again at the sight. they look away and got on their horse.

y/n's been searching for encanto for a week now. they were sure they were getting close. they rested while their horse drank water from the river. they looked over the map, brows furrowing.

"supposed to be over the mountains," y/n mumbled to themself. they looked up at the high mountains. "how the hell am i gonna get on the other side?"

they looked over to their horse, ginny, and sighed. they nudged their head with her's, "wait here, ginny."

ginny neighed in response, nodding her head. y/n lowered their hands, red mist coming out as they began to levitate. they flew over the mountains, looking for ways to get in.

they raised their brows and smiled victoriously, "got it."

honestly y/n could've flew over to encanto themself but they couldn't leave ginny by herself. so now they were in encanto, wandering around. they were supposed to be looking for a man named felix madrigal. dolores also heard y/n's mumblings to themself and decided to help.

as y/n was about to ask a random villager, dolores came up to their side.

"you know my father?" the girl chirped beside them.

y/n flinched at the sudden sound. they looked at dolores, "erm... you know felix madrigal?"

"yes, i can take you to our casita," dolores nodded. she gently puts a hand on their shoulder and noticed how they flinched once again. "don't worry, we're not gonna hurt you. you can leave your horse over here."
