Currently in Italy, your work forced you to sit through this mountains of paperworks because of your negligence from it. Seeing the guardians walk around the office was fun - and even stopping by to see you to chat for a bit before going on their missions or whatever the fuck did the Decimo ordered them to do. But the fact that you have to see the strongest guardian was enough for you to neglect your work again and yeet yourself out the office window and go somewhere else far from your goddamn office.

It's been 5 years since your last conversation with the former prefect, when you talked to him about his problem where he forcefully let out his worries and anxiety towards his feelings for you. Learning that he liked you and returns the same feelings that you had for him, but the fact that he was also scared going on a relationship with you shattered all your hope. Sure, calling him a "selfish bastard" was haunting you but the fact that the "like" that the two of you feel towards each other was different.

At the time, you decided to pull yourself out of that situation and avoided him so that you can sort out your feelings and cry it all out. Of course, at the moment that he would spill out everything, Kyoya knew he would lose you. It was only matter of time when you'll learn about it. He might've disgusted you enough to leave him by himself again.

As time passes, your feelings faded as you gave more thought about those memories. You realized that it was only a puppy love and learning from your actions and mistakes would be benefit for future. Maybe dating wouldn't be so bad, considering that you've learned a lot from your one-sided love! ..or maybe not.

Whenever there's a faint feeling of spark between you and a potential partner, you would always pull yourself out of that friendly relationship. Scared of getting hurt because of attachment and uncontrollable feelings would always overwhelm you that you weren't interested of dating someone else. This led you to become workaholic, as it distracts you from certain possibilities that you were so scared of trying out. Also, being alone is so peaceful - this must have what Kyoya felt before you met him.

It was either you sit too much on your chair and sign the paperworks or spends too much time on certain missions that Decimo would give to you. There was nothing in between. Work is a good distraction for you, plus you have some co-workers that are really nice to be with. Well except the fact that Kyoya is one of them. But it was a good thing that he spends a lot of time on his mansion or on his own office, but usually far wherever you are.

- And now, here you are, standing beside the man you feels so awkward to be with while in the presence of your boss.

"-and that's the brief of this mission, do the two of you get it?" Hayato stated as he looked at the two of you, lifting a brow while waiting responses. "It's not really much, but I hope it's okay for the two of you?" Tsuna added as he waved a stack of paper clapsed on a stapler clip on his hand with a goofy laugh on his face, unaware of the awkward situation that you and Kyoya have. "I think a short break would be nice for the two of you, it would be great si-"

"Tsuna-kun, wait-, I'm not tired." you quickly retorted as you raised a hand to interrupt your boss. "says the one with bags under her eyes." the man beside you muttered - that was enough for the four of you to hear and you hear a muffled laugh coming from Hayato's direction but ignored it because of the fact that Kyoya said something to you after all these years - and you quickly turned your head towards him and opened your mouth to retort back, but decided to keep it shut and pout instead.

Tsuna only looked at Hayato with confusion written all over his face, as if saying "am I missing out something?" as he looked at the three of you again and again. Kyoya kept his gaze on the front and shut his mouth after letting out a sentence and there's you wanting to get mad because that's the first thing he said to you after all these years.
