Looking at the view outside the veranda, everything was covered in white. A thick blanket of snow lying on top of everything it touches, and stays in its place as days passes by. It was a quiet, snowy day in the middle of January – when it would be much colder than usual, but the sight was so beautiful that you couldn't help but get out of your comfort and take a step outside.

For today's plans – well, nothing really. You plan on just lazing around since you've been cleaning the whole house for a while. You've been waiting for your husband's arrival as well, although he's taking a little bit longer than usual.

From what Kyoya told you from the last time you met him, he said that he had a business trip for a few weeks with his right hand man, Kusakabe, accompanying him to work. It resulted in leaving you alone for a while, but he does message you from time to time when he doesn't have that much work to do.

With Kyoya being absent most of the time, you've been quite used to this. You never doubted his feelings for you, and you knew the true nature of his work. There could be a day when he wouldn't be able to send a message to you or go home alive, but you hope for a day that such a thing won't happen.

Before going into a relationship with the skylark, he was confused at first. As everything was new to him. Surely, the two of you met at college, but getting close to him was quite an ordeal.

Hibari Kyoya was, and is, a man of few words. He lives in solitude; away from people, and wishes to be alone most of the time. However, his love for small animals was the key for you to communicate with him – sure, at first he was hostile and unwelcoming to you, but after getting used to your presence, Kyoya slowly felt that it was only natural to have your company.

You approached him with no ill intentions in mind; You only saw him enjoying the company of animals around him, and seeing him usually alone at your shared classes with him made you a little curious towards the man.

The unexplainable gap between his aloofness and affection for small animals were the reason why you were so drawn to him – on how he became so attractive in your eyes in the first place.

And the fact that he helped you out from danger one time was something you couldn't forget.

Maybe it was the moment when you realized that you had fallen in love to the man in front of you, albeit with the noticeable splash of blood that splattered across Kyoya's torso as he stood with a blank expression sitting in his face, and then quickly swaying his left arm to remove any traces of the drooping liquid away from his metal tonfa. At the moment, all you could see was the way he fought; all of his strikes were swift, but hit so hard that it was enough to make the poor soul being brought to his knees just to be kicked and sent to the ground immediately. Looking closely on his face, you could see how his eyes glinted with bloodthirst.

After that event, Kyoya became somewhat protective of you, although shown in his own ways. It was only a matter of time where you would spill out your feelings towards him. The sudden confession was so shocking to him that he started to question himself in his mind, only to give you a reply after some time.

The rest is history, and now you are happily married to him.

Now that you think about it – why were you even remembering the stuff from years ago? Was your longing for your husband the reason why? There were a lot of questions in your mind, but you just left it and shook your head so that you'll stop daydreaming and get back to reality.

You decided to think of other things, and one of them was that Kyoya told you that he'll be out of the country for a few weeks. It's already been two months since he left, and you asked him already why he's taking too long.
