You know that saying they have in baseball "strike three and you're out"? Well for me it struck two and the game was over. My name is Lauren Morant and I am the wife of Ja Morant.

I sat in the stands with our nine-year-old daughter as we watched him play against Golden State. It was the last few minutes of the quarter and I couldn't lie it wasn't looking good for him. Just as expected Ja and his team were going home for the season.

Mommy, will daddy be sad like last time?," Lonnie asked

I hope not baby." She answered as they stood with all the other wives and girlfriends.

Daddy!!," Lonnie ran to him

Hey LoLo." He said dryly

Hey husband," Lauren tried to kiss him but he just sides hugged her. Here we go. I knew what kind of night it would be so I dropped Lonnie off at her grandmother's house, while Ja and I went home. When the two got home they showered and Ja went straight to his man cave while Lauren sat in the living room.

Her phone buzzed and it was a text from him.

Hubby❤️🏀: Have you seen my Chanel cologne?

Chanel? We must be going out. I text him back and then I started getting ready. But as I was putting on the finishing touches I saw Ja standing in the doorway of my makeup room.

"Hey, babe, ready to go?" "I am. Xavier is outside" He said referring to his teammate. "I didn't know Xavier would be joining us"

"Bae I'm going out with the guys why would you..."

"You're putting on the Chanel cologne I got you so I assumed you were taking me out. You just lost in the second round Id think you want to spend it with your wife.."

"And what would make you think that?"

"So I got dressed up for nothing?"

"I guess so". "Oh no, all this isn't going to waste I'm going out tonight." Lauren pulled out her phone and called up her little sister and two best friends. "Where are yall going?"

"Bae I'm going out with the girls why does it matter?"She slams the door. Lauren met the girls downtown and the first place was this lounge that they frequently visited.

Laur! It's been so long." My best friend hugged me

Right, what you been doing?," Her little sister asked. Wifin and working girl," Lauren sighed

Trouble in paradise?." My other bestie asked. Reluctantly, Lauren filled them in on what happened, and of course, after telling them Leah, my little sister ordered a round of casamigo shots. Our waiter bring them and we downed them quickly which made my chest burn like hell!

Thanks, Leah, I'm loose now." We all laughed. Once we were finished there we went to Lux a club that only the hottest of the hottest went to.

Girl, It's golden state players all up in here!." Leah and my best friends said

Oh my God, you think we're gonna run into Klay?." I asked nervously

Lauren, that was years ago when you were in college," Leah said

Back when Klay and I went to the same college we dated and I was ready for us to be exclusive but I felt like he wasn't ready and there were rumors going around so we split. Woah, look who we have here." A deep voice said

Klay?." I turned

You look amazing. Can I buy you a drink?." He asked

Uh no. Actually, my girls and I were just leaving," She pointed to them but Klay's teammates already had their attention. Lord, are you punishing me right now? "Well, I guess you can buy me a drink," Lauren replied

Let me get a whiskey sour and sex on the beach for the lady." He licked his lips which turned me on

Sorry, I had to knock your husband out of the play-offs but that's a part of the job." He laughed

Keep that fake ass apology Klay," We both laughed

"Where is he?"

"He didn't want to let me see him down so he got dressed and left"

"I would want to be with my lady after a loss. Then again I don't know what it's like to lose in the playoffs"

"There goes that big ego and confidence you've always had"

"If I'm not mistaken In college you loved my confidence...  And big ego." He touched my spot which was my lower back. Klay, I'm going, to be honest, as much as I would love for you to keep touching that spot I am married and I think it's time I go." Lauren sighed

Fine. Call me if you need me for anything." He winked knowing that she'd be calling him soon

Lauren didn't want to ruin her friend's time so she went to tell each of them she was heading home. As I was being escorted through the club I saw Ja coming out of one of the private rooms with a girl zipping up his pants and my heart dropped. He kissed her cheek and got his security to I'm assuming take him home. I raced home, took a shower, and sat in his man cave waiting for him to get home...
