|32| Life Is A Game

"(Name)?" Toru says as he sees you staring at the door, hesitating on leaving the apartment which confused Toru, "Is there a spider or something?" Toru ask nervously as he's not a big fan of bugs.

You turn around as Toru was standing behind, "No, it's just..." you look back at the door, "The last time I was in an unfamiliar place was in France in a penthouse in which I was thinking about running away and going back home. Wondering if I did the right thing which caused me to forget and runaway to just get caught and have my ankle break just so that I wouldn't have to run away anymore," you put it simply as a part of you feel like Tyler is out there, waiting for you.

You're scared. You don't want to be but you are. You have no control over it but then you watch Toru step in front of you and look at the security camera near the door to see who's outside of the door but as well as outside the apartment building.

Toru then looks at you with a smile, "I would offer my hand but..." he looks at the crutches you're holding which cause you to smile as it made you feel a little better. Not only did he check to make sure it's safe in front of you but he's also reassuring you Tyler can't hurt you.

You love that and it does make you feel a little safe but you knew this is won't last forever but that doesn't mean you aren't going to try to enjoy it and make the most of it.

After all, it's the memories that lives on but also the cause of sanity and insanity.

"Be safe," you ask of him and Toru nods with a smile. He opens the door and as he foes so, you observe him one more time. He's wearing a hat, jacket, shirt and pant. His usual clothing style that has not changed much since you last remember.

Toru promises to be safe after giving you a light peck on the forehead. He then leaves for school while you stay at home. Toru has offered to show you around, take you to the places he loves and restaurants with amazing food to even introducing you to his friends which you have put aside out of fear and anxiety.

You're afraid to leave the apartment. You feel trap in it like you once did with Tyler and someone would think that it would give you a good reason to get out or even go for a walk but to you... It also gave you some sort of safety because for one, you remember that time you tries to escape to just be caught and have you going through so much torture but on the good side, it's the place where you live with Toru.

A place where can start to feel like home and as you have been trying to tell yourself, you have a plan to take Tyler down and will live properly to be happy even though you still have a lot of things to work through.

You make your way to the window and open up the curtains. It's a sunny and beautiful day. You look down to see that the apartment you're in is in one of the top floors. A fall from here is certain death and you couldn't lie to yourself and say that you don't image yourself falling from a tall building.

You look back at the view to see car going by, people walking and at some point you see birds flying around which made you wonder how it would feel like to just fly away...

To be free from the cage that you have been in since... You place a hand on the window, My beautiful Bird... Is that what you are? A bird?

You think to the meaning or even to what bird present. Most would say freedom and eternity due to them being able to fly and go where they please. The way they soar into the skies... Some birds are beautiful, some unique, some that are difficult to explain or even some to which no one has ever seen like a Phenix.

You had many nicknames. You know you did and some were just compared to animals because of your many talents such as being able to swim fast. But a bird... You remember when you asked Tyler why he called you a bird...
