|34| Love = Crazy

"A few more months and it comes off," Toru reminds you what the doctor said as you both walk home but as it's a beautiful day out, Toru decided to give you a piggy back ride. Your cast has been changed into a walking cast so no more crutches.

"Thank god," you say with a smile as you move a little to lean forward to peck Toru's cheek. "Once it's off and I'm able to walk properly, let's go out and go somewhere fancy. Dinner will be on me," you suggest.

"On you?" Toru questions.

"Hmm," you hum to confirm, "I have a few months to get a job and earn money. Trust me," you say as you relax your head on Toru's shoulder, "I still have money from my earning when I worked. It's a lot but I don't to be doing nothing but without a degree in anything and most of my first-aid certificate or Red Cross is outdated and with my leg, I can't get a job at the pool. And my Spanish is okay, therE's the accent however, I can't understand much of Spanish if the person talks too fast. So my options for a job will be very limited but not impossible. Just give me some time," is all you ask.

"Don't force yourself," Toru says gently, "Take your time to adapt and heal," Toru gently places you down and turns to face you. He grabs your hand that wearing both the engagement ring and the couple ring, "I don't want to leave you alone in the house because I'm afraid that you may be going through something alone so with this ring," he says as he looks at you with loving eyes.

"Not only do I dedicate my love for you but gave it to you as a reminder that I am here with you," he explains with a smile. He bring the hand a little closer to his lip as he also leans down and place a gentle kiss, "So, M'amore, let me be your strength," he says which cause you to smile brightly.

"I don't know what to offer or give you," you say which was going to lead to Toru answering something sweet about the lines of you don't need to do anything but to just be with him however, you interrupt that by continuing, "But being with you has taught me that I'm enough for you and just being there to love and support you is enough which is why I'm going to make you the happiest man," and protect you.

"Well, good news," Toru says excitedly, "You already have the day you said you would give me a chance and made me beyond happy by saying yes to my proposal," Toru says which cause you to giggle as Toru leans down to kiss you.

"Toru!" Someone yells which cause you and Toru to look at the person. You see a man with a light brunette hair that seems to be long up front as he has it tied up into a bun from the back. He also seems to be a little taller than Toru but in the end, you have no idea who this man is however, he does seem to know who Toru is.

"Miguel," Toru says as he looks at him in surprise. Toru is now standing next to you, his hand on your shoulder. But, once Toru has mentioned his name, you knew this is one of Toru's friends as you remember Toru mentioning someone by the name of Miguel.

"Fancy seeing you here," Miguel says with a friendly smile towards Toru but then he looks at you, "Is this the girlfriend who you went to California for?" He ask curiously.

"Ah," Toru says as he quickly looks at you and then back at Miguel, "Yes, this is (Name) Oikawa," Toru introduces which did make you wonder why he used his last name instead of yours but the reason for it was because Toru didn't want anyone searching you up.

His friends can be a little noisy. At the moment, only Catalina and her friends know who you are because of their little research. And because Toru doesn't want anyone bothering you about your past or looking at you differently which he thinks can make you anxious, he wants to avoid it and protect you his own way.

From now on, he's going to avoid saying how you both met and change the truth of how you both met or avoid anyone connecting the dots of who you are. It's his way of protecting you but he doesn't know if he should have changed your name or not so to protect you, he gave you his last name. But it wasn't like you weren't going to wear it, you are his fiancee now.
