Landon | Stella

"Hello, help line, assist"

"You missed a couple of words you know?" I laughed into the phone

"Doll, how are you?" He sighed heavily

"Good? What's wrong you seem stressed?" I asked

"Its nothing doll, are you okay?"

"You just asked me that"

"Oh yes" I heard some shuffling on the over line and then I was met with silence

"Can I tell you something?" I whispered into the mic

"All ears" He whispered back

"You know the pills"

"Yes?"

"Well, I took another dose"

"How much?" He sounded irritated

"Only 2, I thought of you though"

"Wow thinking off me whilst you try to die, how wonderful" he replied dryly

"No dummy, you helped me stop taking more"

"Is that so?"

"Yup, anyways" I drawled out

"Have you eaten yet?" He asked

"Yes" I lied

"Liar" He chuckled

"You know that I don't eat-"

"Without the presence of someone, I know sweet heart now go grab yourself a bite and eat"

"But-"

"I'm here on call"

"N-no that'll b-be embarrassing"

"I'll eat as well is that any better?"

"Y-yes" I muttered as I tip toed downstairs

"I'm in the kitchen what should I eat?" I asked

"When did you last eat?" He asked

That really got my brain thinking

"5 days ago" I rummaged through the cabinets

"Darling" He gasped "5 days? Get some food in you right now" He demanded

I loved this side of him

"Jelly?" I questioned

"No idiot, actual food" He scolded

"Hm, what are you eating?"

"A sandwich"

"I'll eat rice and chicken"

"Good, I'll be waiting so that we can eat together, that's fine?" he asked me

"Excellent"

I warmed up the food and walked up the stairs quietly, I didn't want to risk waking up. Dad.

"I'm ready"

"I'm ready as well"

"Lets start the eating marathon"

"You know I do eat a lot of snacks" I smiled

"Nutrition, eat some fruit"

"Maybe" I smiled as I stuffed my face with rice

"Oh" I stuttered

"Oh?" He questioned

"I-I got to-"

"Stella who the hell are you on the phone with" My dads voice boomed

I hung up quickly and hid the food in the corner of my room

"N-no body" I muttered as he walked out of the house
