In this alternate universe, fate had a different plan for Yoriichi. Instead of meeting Uta, he crossed paths with a demon. Despite the odds stacked against him, the young Yoriichi effortlessly evaded the demon's attacks. His impressive display caught the attention of a passing Hashira who quickly dispatched the demon.
The Hashira was astonished by Yoriichi's bravery and skill at such a young age, and thus took him on as his apprentice. Yoriichi joined the ranks of the Demon Slayers, creating the breathing technique and eventually becoming a Hashira himself.
Along the way, Yoriichi still managed to save his younger brother, and even rescued Uta from a demon, forming a close friendship that eventually blossomed into love. In this reality, Yoriichi's relationship with his brother Michikatsu was one of brotherly love, with no hint of jealousy.
After some time, Yoriichi and Uta tied the knot, while Michikatsu married the love of his life. Yoriichi and Uta welcomed a son into their family, Sumiyoshi, while Michikatsu had two children of his own.
After Yoriichi almost killed Muzan, also referred to as "Walmart Micheal jackson" he sought revenge by killing Yoriichi's wife. Fortunately, Yoriichi's son Sumiyoshi survived as he was with Michikatsu at the time. After Yoriichi's wife was killed, he and Michikatsu decided to leave their families for their safety. Yoriichi entrusted Sumiyoshi to the Kamado family while Michikatsu changed his wife and kids surname to Tokito
In the Taisho era, the Kamado and Tokito families had become extremely close due to their shared history and the secret knowledge that only the elders of both families knew. One day, during the New Year holiday, the Tokito family came to visit the Kamado family, but unfortunately, Nezuko fell ill and needed medicine. Tanjiro, along with his cousin and best friend Muichiro, decided to go down the mountain to buy some medicine for Nezuko.
However, it took longer than expected, and by the time they were done, it was already late at night. Old man Saburo offered them a place to stay for the night, and they accepted, not realizing that the events of the next day would change their lives forever.
The next morning, when Tanjiro and Muichiro returned to their house. An unexpected surprise awaits them, one that changed their life's forever.

In this alternate universe, Michikatsu was able to train himself to keep his demon slayer mark active all the time, allowing him to live well past the age of 25. As a result, both Yoriichi and Michikatsu's children were born with demon slayer marks, but Sumiyoshi was also born with the ability to see the see-through world. In contrast, Michikatsu's children were only born with demon marks, but they could unlock the see-through world with training.
Furthermore, in this AU, Muichiro is the eldest son of the Tokito family instead of Yuichiro, and both the Kamado and Tokito families are aware of the existence of demons and demon slayers.
