"Master, the sports festival is coming up" Todoroki said
"Sports festival? What's that?" Y/n asked
"It's a nationally televised competition where students can showcase their abilities in order to get scouted by pro heroes" Todoroki informed
Y/n nodded at the information but soon tilted her head in confusion "Okay but why are you informing me this?"
"I want to train with you for the sports festival master" Todoroki said, his eyes serious and his hand slightly gripped his sleeve scared that his master might reject or feel bothered or annoyed by it.
Y/n scratched her head and sweatdrop 'I don't know what to teach him though...' she thought, but seeing his gaze, she couldn't resist.
"Alright" she sighed
Todoroki smiled and bowed "Thank you master"
He sat up straight again and asked "Is it okay if we train tomorrow?"
Y/n hummed and nodded, there was no grocery discount tomorrow so it should be good for her to 'train' Todoroki.
The next day
"So what should we do first master?" Todoroki asked as he stretched
"How about you go with your usual warm up first" Y/n said
"Alright master"
Y/n sighed in relief when Todoroki is finally out of earshot.
"Now what to make up for this training" she mumbled
After 10 minutes, Todoroki ran back "I'm done master"
Y/n nodded "For today we will be training your mind"
Todoroki nod and agrees 'master is indeed smart. We must train our mind before our body' he thought
"Todoroki, how do you think I got this power?"
"Through hardwork master" Todoroki answered
"That's right. To achieve our goal we must work hard and give our all. But, you aren't planning to give it your all are you Todoroki?" Y/n accused
"What are you talking about master" Todoroki asked confused and slightly baffled
"You're holding back Todoroki" in all honesty, she didn't know what she was talking about.
"Master...." he looks down at his left hand, and clenched it.
"For one to become strong, one must embrace themselves" y/n said, although she thought she was spouting nonsense, to Todoroki it seems like she figured him out.
"You can do it slowly, you don't have to do it now" She nodded
Todoroki bowed, not saying anything and only taking in what she had said.
Y/n pet his head and he looks up to see her smiling. He stand up straight and smiled back "Thank you master"
