The soft cold wind ruffled the trees of Central Park, leaves flowing over the cobbled paths, as if cleaning them. The Pizza Dog walked with pride oozing of his shoulders, followed swiftly by the two young vigilantes, Kate and William. The rare sunlight washed over Kate like a blushing, producing goosebumps on her neck. However, for William, the sunlight wasn't soft or comforting. It was more like several pine needles attacking his skin every millisecond.

That was precisely why he had decided to cover up as much as he could. A black hoodie, black jeans, and black combat boots. The standout feature was a bright purple t-shirt he had stolen from Kate.

They were currently going to meet Clint's LARPer friends, who would be practicing here, and retrieve his trick arrows.

The wind turned harsher, and a few strands of William's messy hair fell onto his face, and he had to jerk his head around to remove them.

After walking for a few minutes, his sword safely secured around his back, they finally found the group, who were invigorated in their practice.

"Thrust!", one of them yelled, and everyone lunged forward. William instinctively put an arm around Kate protectively, but the archer calmly put it down.

"Relax.", she whispered to him.

"Lightning Bolt! One, two, three, four, five."

"Retreat! Formation. Stab!  Ice Wall!  Superpower Doom!"

"Hey, we, uh... we don't mean to interrupt...", spoke up Kate, trying to interrupt, however the LARPers acted like the vigilantes were invisible.

"Wow. You guys are..."

"Retreat!"

"Dedicated.", finished William, who had been mostly quiet and observant.

"Who are you?"

"Uh, Hawkeye sent us here on official Avengers business. I'm his partner-slash-best-friend, Kate."

"I think best friend is taking this a bit too far.", William cut in, gaining an eyeroll from the archer.

"He said you guys could help us out. One of you is a cop?", the Stark continued.

"That's me, Officer Wendy Conrad. Better known as Els-Bath of Deepdale.", one woman of the bunch stepped up.

"Officer. Basically, all we need is some casual, run-of-the-mill evidence tampering.", Kate said casually.

"I don't think that's the best thing to say to a cop Kate.", stated the blind vampire.

"Hawkeye's trick arrows are in an NYPD facility near the Manhattan Bridge. I can probably help you out .....if  you make it worth my while.", officer Wendy replied, and William's eyes widened slightly under his glasses.
