Alice's Pov
~7.00 pm ~

It's only 7 pm but the sky is already so grey. The moonlight is the only source of light for us but that doesn't, somehow, stop the driver from going slower. 'Shreeeeeeek!!' holy shit, what was that? I got up as quickly as I could but Emma was holding onto me so I had to gently let her hand down. She's so precious. How did I get so lucky? I ran toward the driver to ask what happened. He told me we ran over some mud. Are you joking? "Is it possible for us to get out of the mud?" I asked all worried. I wouldn't be caught dead in this creepy forest. "I gotta check, don't worry Miss Alice, and also please don't tell Miss Carla'', right Carla's grandfather helped us to pay for the trip, such a sweet soul truly. "I won't," I assured him. I dragged myself back to my seat, noticing Carla was asleep. She deserves it.

"What the fuck happened?" Otis bellowed from behind. "We ran into some mud, don't worry the driver is checking it out," I replied calmly. "Oh shit okay" Otis retorted with slight disappointment. "Are we going to be okay?" Emma asked me with those cute puppy eyes. "Of course baby" I reassured her despite being doubtful myself. I just have a bad feeling about this.

Otis's Pov
~7.35 pm ~

"Fucking hell, we have been here for 35 minutes. What's taking him so long?," I asked. I was getting very impatient. We are stranded in the middle of the forest, wasting our time. "Go check up on him Otis, " Alice commanded. WTF. Why me? I looked around and everyone else was sleeping except for Alice and Emma. I groaned, "fine". I sluggishly stood up and slowly walked down the van. The dark lurking trees sent a chill down my spine. It was as if someone was keeping an eye on me. No, I don't believe in ghosts. What am I thinking? It has to be my mind playing tricks on me. I walked as close to the van as possible trying to look for the driver. Where is he? The wet ground covered in mud kept making this creepy sound that made my blood run cold. I searched everywhere near the four tires but he was nowhere to be found. The smell of mercury was at a choking amount. I have got to be blind right? No way the driver just disappeared on us. This can't be happening. Fuck fuck. I bolted towards the door of the van and climbed up the stairs. "ALICE EMMA HE'S GONE," I yelled.
