Audrey sits in the kitchen feeding Austin as Fred gives Vegas a slice of bacon he was cooking "All right. Here you go, Vegas. Good boy. Wow." Fred laughs. Audrey smiles and starts burping Austin as Archie walks in "Morning, Dad." Archie smiles. "Hey, bud. Where'd you sneak off to last night?" Fred asks. "You, uh, you heard that?" Archie asks. "Son, I've been hearing you sneak out since you were eight years old going to Jughead's tree house." Fred smiles. "I couldn't sleep. Went for a jog to tire myself out." Archie explains, kissing Audrey's head and smiling at Austin. "Yeah? Got something on your mind?" Fred asks. Just all this stuff with Jason." Archie explains, trying to be gentle with Audrey in the room. "Hmm. No more midnight runs until the police catch whoever it was that shot that poor kid. I swear to God, this town." Fred sighs. Archie nods and takes Austin off Audrey "My turn to have cuddles." he smiles. Audrey smiles and carries on eating her toast and bacon Fred made her "Didn't realise we took turns." she tells her cousin. "Well we do now." he responds, sending her a wink. The door bell rings and Archie hands Austin back to Audrey as he goes to answer it "Betty." he says, loud enough for Fred and Audrey to hear. Audrey panics and looks at Fred "Wait here." he tells her. "Walk me to school?" they hear Betty ask Archie. "Sure, give me one second." Archie responds before walking back into the kitchen "You alright getting to school?" he asks Audrey. "Yeah, go." Audrey nods making him leave.
Walking into school Audrey stops at the locker and pulls out her books for the day ahead, Archie joining her soon after "Hi. Do you think I can use Jason Blossom's death as an excuse to get out of PE? Sorry, Coach, I'm just too depressed and freaked-out right now to do pull-ups." Jughead jokes, stopping next to them. "Don't joke about Jason Blossom." Archie glares. "What? Sardonic humor is just my way of relating to the world." Jughead tells them. Audrey spots Reggie and the other Bulldogs heading over "Look, it's the rich kids from The Goonies. All right, I'm out." Jughead remarks, walking off. "Watch it, Wednesday Addams." Reggie glares as he bumps into Jughead on purpose. Audrey rolls her eyes "I'm going to find Betty." she tells Archie, walking away.
Audrey catches up to Betty as she talks to Kevin "Hey guys." she greets. "Hey Auds." they respond at the same time. Kevin turns to Betty "Now that romance is off the table, I'll just say it. Are we 100% sure that Archie's straight? Because no straight man has that body." he asks her. Audrey wrinkles her nose slightly "Speaking of bodies... Have you recovered from finding Jason's?" Betty asks Kevin. "It was more traumatizing having to explain to my dad what I was doing with Moose at the river. Yet another perk of being the sheriff's son." Kevin remarks. The three of them walk into the office to see a bunch of yellow flowers "Oh, my God, those are gorgeous. Are those for Betty, Mrs. Philips?" Audrey asks. "That's why I called her." Mrs Philips responds. "Dear Betty, please forgive me, XOXO, V." Audrey reads the card. "Who the hell is V?" Kevin asks. "Veronica." Betty says, the same time Veronica says her name walking in. "The yellow is for friendship. I also had Magnolia cupcakes flown in from New York. Because, as my mom likes to say, There's no wrong the right cupcake can't fix. Also I... I've booked us for hers-and-hers mani-pedis at Chez Salon. Blowouts, too. I am so, so sorry, Betty. I don't know what happened to me that night. It was such a basic bitch move. It was like I was... Possessed by..." Veronica trails off. "Madame Satan?" Kevin asks. "The old Veronica. And I will never, ever do anything like that to you again. I swear on my mother's pearls. Just, can you please give me one more chance?" Veronica pleads. "Okay." Betty tells her. "What?" Kevin asks the same time as Veronica. "Really? Awesome. I'll take it and you won't regret it. Okay. And I'll bring these to lunch so we can celebrate!" Veronica smiles, walking out with the cupcakes.
